We waited for two hours just to get vitals done. Horrible wait. Go to a different hospital.

I came to Children’s Hospital last night. My 1 year old was with her grandparents & swallowed a pin. Got here within the hour & explained she swallowed something & we had no idea what it was. From the time we checked in, it was literally as if we were the only ones in the hospital. Instead of us waiting, staff was waiting on us! I never received such fast care! We were seen by two doctors within 45 minutes of arriving (maybe even less). Everyone, I mean EVERYONE, was so kind! So thorough, & so helpful. From the clerical staff, to the Nurses, to the doctors. They took care of my baby girl with such care & precision. The hospital was so clean as well. They repeatedly checking in on us. This is exactly what excellence is. I wish I remembered everyone’s name but the only one I remembered was Arin who was our after care nurse in the observation room. She was incredible! Thank you so much Children's hospital for demonstrating such great passion & care. It truly is amazing that places like this exist. Hopefully we never have to return, but if we do, I will feel safe knowing these healthcare professionals do their best! Thank you!

The doctors and nurses were all very nice and professional

I was absolutely shocked that a so called "professional" hospital was being run so poorly! Though I guess it is ATL. I had a 10 o'clock appt for ear tubes for my son, a simple procedure you would think for this kinda of hospital. You would be wrong since it's so poorly run, and either overbooking or short slow staff and mismanagement. We got there at alil before 10, got checked in and we're told a room was not even clean for us. Fine no biggie we'll wait. Surgery supposed to be started at 11 o'clock. Here comes 12, 1 o'clock in the afternoon!!! 1:25 is when they finally came to take my kid for the tubes, after I stood in the door with my hungry screaming kid who has been deprived of food for longer than he should be cause of how slow they were. My toddler is almost 2, they shouldn't be doing this to young toddlers who don't understand why they are not being fed, if you can't get to them when you are scheduled to, than the place is being mismanaged and you're abusing the kids having them wait for 3 hrs after arrival starving for a simple surgery. Having the parents listen to their complaining screaming child for 3 hrs is unacceptable and cruel, this hospital needs to do better for the kids of GA and the poor parents that have to sit with their tortured children who are crying from hunger pains and sleep deprived. The procedure is awful enough for parents on its own without a hospital making the experience that much worse! Absolutely awful experience. We also live 2 hrs away, so by getting to us so late and slowly, we were discharged at 4 and didnt get home til well after 6. If they had better time management and ran the place like it should be running we would've been home at 2/3 in the afternoon probably! This is awful to do to the poor kids that come in for a simple thing like ear tubes. The most unprofessional and poorly run hospital I ever been too, they need to do better and stop overbooking if that's what is going on. The wait room wasn't even half full though, so I suspect mismanagement

Went the very next day to a local hospital after I drove 2 hours to this “great” hospital to find out finally that my 17 month old daughter has PNEUMONIA!! I explained to them my daughter had had a HIGH fever for 7 days 100-104 all day everyday continuously giving her fever reducer. She had been puking for 6 days not eating or drinking! Only had 1 wet diaper that day when I showed up at the hospital at 11pm! She was breathing super fast! They did a nose swab gave her fluids and said everything was negative its something viral treat symptoms and she will be fine! DO BETTER! I get it yall are busy you see lots of kids but I came to yall thinking you would give me answers and take care of my child and you MAJORLY disappointed me! As moms our children are everything! This is the worst experience of my life! Props to HABERSHAM MEDICAL CENTER for having us in and out and diagnosing my baby girl with pneumonia in less than 2 hours! CHOA is way over rated!!

I brought my child to the ED at this location on 12/27. We were seen, assessed, evaluated and then discharged within 4 hours. I let the nurses, doctors, and tech all know what symptoms my child was experiencing and how long this had been going on. They told us that it was a viral infection, and it had to run its course. Less than 48 hours later my child was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia from his pediatrician. CHOA never did a chest X-ray, nebulizer treatments, or any bloodwork. I am furious with how this was handled. I feel like we were dismissed and our concerns were not addressed because the ED was crowded and we were just “parents who used the ED as a doctors office “. This is medical negligence and neglect! Please do better!!!!!!

I'm here in the ER with my mentally challenged son and CHOA keeps blaming the state of GA for them not having the proper resources for mentally challenged kids. The psychologist and ER Doctor are say CHOA don't treat yhe mental side of DIGEORGE syndrome. However they claim to have a clinic that provides treatment. I asked for an evaluation they suggested I consult with my sons school. To my understanding is the ONLY treat the medical side and not the mental side. My son has been in their care for over 3 years and they are just beginning to tell me this. This is sad and the state of GA really needs to do better. The doctors here are (pad pushers) they right a thick script every visit for certain. PLEASE SEEK MENTAL HEATH TREATMENT ELSEWHERE

My baby was rushed in via helicopter, so we basically had a skip the line process with the emergency room wait times. The EMT staff took good care of my infant during transport, and the nurses nurtured my baby in their exceptional care upon my arrival to the hospital. My entire experience was amazing! From the security staff at the lobby desk, to the nurses and other care teams, chaplain, cafeteria and room service staff, and doctors…THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE! When I was feeling down, I kept getting reassurance. Everyone worked together to make sure that my baby and I were get satisfactory service/everything we needed. I was constantly updated on my child’s care. I was able to ask questions and receive the necessary answers! I am thankful for the expertise each nurse and doctor had. Now I see why this specific Children’s Hospital is the #1 in the state of Georgia! Miracles do happen! :)

Have been to this Hospital at least 3 × 4 surgical procedures I will say that from start to finish the staff is very efficient, friendly, informative and patient. this is the best we've ever been treated having to deal with a medical team in regard to a serious matter. excellent staff, excellent scheduling, excellent doctors, excellent anesthesiologist, excellent nurse practitioners. They also gave my daughter a gift at the end of the procedure which was a nice touch to everything else:) Recommend 1,000%!!
