She’s very kind smart and patient.

We have been fortunate to be under Dr. Furrs care since my child was 2 yrs old. She is now 11 and I am hoping to stay with Dr. Furr for many years to come She truly knows and cares for her patients and their families. My daughter was nervous for her appointment one day and put her barbie doll on the examining table and hid. Dr. Furr came in and did not skip a beat she picked up barbie and asked her what was wrong listened to her heart checked her ears all to the delight of my then 5 yr old daughter who was watching and not hiding very well. The fact that Dr. Furr was very busy but still took the time to put my daughter at ease meant a lot to me and says a lot about her. She is terrific We have had frequent bouts of respiratory ailments along with all of the other illnesses that seem to come with this age and Dr. Furr has been there through it all Expert care guidance reassurance and advice. We are very happy with her

Was slow and awkward

3 of 4 office visits were over 45 minutes wait time before seeing the doctor. Staff seems indifferent over wait times and says its normal for the industry.

When you make a decision that is contrary to what this doctor and others in this practice like....beware. You will be treated with browbeating disrespect. I was taught in nursing school that you honor patients beliefs and decisions. Concerning the issue of Immunization they will be patient with you for the first visit and tell you to educate yourself on vaccinations and info related to the risks but if you come back to their office deciding not to vaccinate your child they will HOUND you LECTURE you and overall disrespect you On my first visit Dr. Furr actually told me that if I made my decision not to vaccinate and signed a form I wouldnt be talked about vaccinations every time I came in with my child because the doctors would see it on the chart. She lied I recommended this doctor after my first visit to a friend who does not want to vaccinate her child because her nephew is autistic. Dr. Furr asked her not to bring her child back to the practice if she wasnt going to vaccinate him I believe in vaccinating and I am just waiting until my child is older but after seeing her true colors and the way I was treated by her I wont bring any of my children back to her. She would have most likely told me not to come back to the practice anyway. I would not recommend her practice or her to anyone. Find a pediatrician that respects the parent and the child and can still give awesome care Parents can get a hold of tons of reliable info and make educated prudent decisions....no medical school needed The way some pediatricians treat you in the office you would think theyre oblivious to the fact that you care for and make decisions for your children 247.
