Coast Dental's Online Review Report Card

I LOVE Dr. Ian Christian Carlson!!!! He was so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. Very thorough! I'm 72 and haven't been to the dentist in many years because I'm fearful. I felt so comfortable with Dr. Carlson. I am sticking with him!!! He is my dentist forever!!! Kaylan is excellent!!! She is very professional, very informative, and very thoughtful and on top of things. Kaylan was quite aware of my concerns and did her best to make sure I was comfortable.

Staff is very friendly and transparent with out of pocket expense

I had an appointment to fill a tooth that had a hole drilled in it in order to remove the dead nerve (root canal). I was on time, but, waited over an hour before being told that they took someone (without an appointment) ahead of me and if I wanted, I could continue to wait or reschedule. I asked if they had started the procedure on that patient, so I could have some idea of how much longer I had to wait. They said no, they hadn't started yet, but I could wait or reschedule. I have a HOLE in my tooth, which means it can easily get infected. The big problem with that is because the tooth does not have a nerve, I wouldn't know if I had an infection. Apparently, they are too busy to care about that. Please understand, I am not complaining about their dentists, just their staff! Now I have to try to find another dentist my insurance will cover!

The office is clean and inviting. The staff is engaging and pleasant.

If I could give zero stars I would. This dentist office is extremely unprofessional and cares nothing about the patients. I have been receiving an invalid bill every month since February. I have called their office multiple times and have left countless voicemails and have received zero call backs. This month I started to get collection notices and I called in again and finally reached someone in the office that without even looking at my account states that it is more than likely a glitch and that I should not worry about it. I pushed back due to the sheer number of notices and now collection attempts that I have been sent and was told that their district manager would be reaching out to me the next morning. No calls have been received and now when I try to call in again, I only reach the dreaded voicemail box that they must have lost the password to. Go to any dentist but this one unless you want to develop headaches.

Went to coast dental @ briacliff road what a nightmare doctor Carson was too inexpensive to do an extraction he wanted to send me to a oral surgeon that's more money I went to a wonderful dentist was able to do all the work that needed didn't recommend oral surgeon after seeing I went to another dentist have the nerve to send me a bill almost 2years why didn't you get it from the insurance will never go back to coast dental

Dr Carlson is good when he agrees to work on your teeth. He should go work somewhere else. Long story but he went on vacation and they hired some incompetent guy who screwed up my root canal prep and then dr Carlson refused to work on it and said I need to track this guy down and make him fix it. Eventual after threatening to sue they did correct the bad work. Now I’m trying to get them send my records to new dentist. Called 3 times last 2 weeks then never answer the phone and don’t call back. Went in person today and the person sitting at the front desk told me nobody is employed there that can provide records no eta when they will hire someone. Called corporate office and they just tried to make an appt. Left message for costumer complaint department no response. Wonder if there will be a bot response to this review saying call corporate office. You already have my complaint call me back! Also filed complaint with state of Georgia. To summarize don’t do it! You’ll be sorry…

Not recommended. I have not gone to the office for more than a year and I am being charged for a service that was supposedly done last year. These people are just scammers.

This is literally the worst dental office. Rust on equipment. Non-existent office staff. Motivation is purely selling unneeded additional services vs realistic customer care. I cannot stress enough you should avoid this location.
