List of Daniel L. Barrow's Reviews
Dr Barrow removed an ependamoma tumor on my spinal cord c3-7 in 2004. I am still alive walking ( with a walker) taking care of myself and light housework and social in my community currently in Florida. Confident and skilled
This was the most unproductive call ever. Adrianne was unpleasant to speak to and said that she didn't know when the next appointment would be. I had to send scans first and then in 2-3 weeks they MAY be able to get me in.
1987 Dr. Barrow saved me life. Thank you.
I've heard....
Dr Barrow was very professional, knowledgeable, honest and showed compassion. He spoke in detail of my condition and listened with interest. He took much time with me and never seemed hurried.
Dr. Barrow saved my mom’s life. He did 2 surgeries for my mom. He was so gentle and cared. He is the best doctor.
This foolish Dr. Barrow clipped my optic nerve during my surgery...he decided not to talk to me nor my family after the surgery...I temporarily loss my sight & was found passed out..afterwards I called his office & was told “I don’t do follow up visits after surgeries...you need to go to your primary Doctor “...I did & the primary Doctor & Optometrist didn’t understand “WHY”... I was in bad condition so they insisted that Dr. Barrow see me... he did & it was only then that he told me about the optic nerve clip... I am since experiencing LOTS OF MIGRAINES & I have a necessity to ALWAYS wear hats & wigs to cover where Dr Barrow’s didn’t replace something-so my face is caving in NOTICEABLY! I was told I could not go after him for the damages because I was made to sign a form while slightly sedated!!!! I’m having so many complications now but I have NO TRUST in going to another specialist of this source ever again!!! I’m ruined & I see that Dr. Daniel Barrow of Emory still practice!!!
Dr. Barrow saved my life 16 years ago, when I was taken to the emergency room on evening at Emory for a bleeding brain aneurysm (Circle of Willis). His availability was immediate (next morning) and his surgery was obviously successful with no further repercussions. I've been living a happy, healthy life since then. Thank you, Dr. Dan Barrow!
Our daughter Jill Bartling was treated by Dr. Barrow. My wife and I were living in Australia at the time and at the time . We were told to visit a neuro surgeon at Prince of Wales hospital. We met with a surgeon who was a classmate of our daughters surgeon dr Barrow. We cannot remember his name. Can you provide us with his name? Thank you. Len_mccahill@yahoo.com
Dr D. Barrow is the best neurosurgeon in the South . He is a livesaving brain surgeon. He foes the most complicated brain surgeries most would die from. He did surgery on my husband in a complex case. He is beyond what a great surgeon is. His team is also the best at what they do. Precise and brilliant!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
