List of Douglas G. Day's Reviews
I visited dr Day for eye exam and it included 4 different test. He informed me of no results. only told me to take eye drops and come back in 4 weeks. I left there not knowing my overall condition
I am 72 , I told Dr. Day that I was hard of hearing and couldn’t hear him, he speaks low and had a mask on. He turned and started telling his female assistant(instead of speaking louder)what he wanted to tell me and she in turn told me what he said. I would NOT recommend him.
An appalling experience w/Dr. Day! At the appt., a tech escorted me to an exam room & said she would test my vision. I explained that I was there for a glaucoma consult & had just rec'd a full vision screening/eye exams ten days ago. Since I didn't want to duplicate any tests, & ins. would not pay for repeated services, I told the tech I would call the Pearle Vision E. Cobb office to get my recs. The tech directed the office receptionist to do this. A few moments later the receptionist reported that Pearle was closed. It was only 2:30, so I cld Pearle myself. I reached Pearle; they agreed to forward my recs. immediately &returned to the waiting rm. Later I was sent to an exam rm. There Dr. Day abruptly introduced himself & angrily accused me of "telling me how to run my practice!"He continued to berate me while I stood shaken & in disbelief. When I regained some composure, I explained that Pearle Vision was forwarding eye exam results from 10 days ago. Day's abuse was unwarranted!
Doug Day is the worst ophthalmologist I have ever met. He seriously messed me up. I do not recommend him.
Dr Day was not a good doctor in my opinion. I had laser surgery on my eyes to relieve eye pressure three years ago. Dr Day informed me I needed to have it again. I did not want to have the surgery because it was painful not to mention expensive. I asked it there was a different eye drop that may help. Dr. Day stated it would be expensive. This did not sit well with me because he knew nothing about my financial status. This made me seek a second opinion. I now have a new doctor that prescribed a combination eye drop. I am happy to report my pressure is down after two weeks. Please seek a second opinion before surgery. The office is like a cattle call. No real attention to your particular case. It’s more like a one size fits all with Dr. Day. I spent four years with this doctor and now have significant optic damage due to his lack of care. Thank goodness for my intuition that told me something wasn’t right.
I agree with the negative reviews. I do not recommend him.
I agree with all the bad ratings. I do not recommend.
I agree with the two negative comments below. I do not recommend him!
Neither Dr. Day nor his "team" ever responded to my emails and phone calls for emergency assistance after developing conjunctivitis From 10 September 2020 when I desperately needed antibiotics for the conjunctivitis to this day one week later, I have not heard a word, NOT ONE, from Dr. Day or his team!!!
I went to see Dr Douglas Day for 2nd opinion/consultation evaluation on March 9th, 2020. Dr Day spent less than 5 mins with me in his office. Before this visit, I sent my previous records to his assistant Maribel Switzer before visit. Whole idea of 2nd opinion is to get expert physician do his own assessment, review previous treatment, explain his office visit's finding and explain to the pt what next step of best treatment by existing physician and/or provide recommendation. Dr Day didn't review or discuss tests performed in his office, differential dx or tx options, my previous medical records of previous Ophthalmologist. You don’t start treating patient in 2nd opinion visit…but he started treating me by saying "Stop Simbrinza, it's over killed my tx and follow up in 4 weeks and if your pressure is still high in 4 weeks then we will consider surgical option". Surgery?? What surgery?? That’s wrong. I was hoping for good quality interaction and excited to see him but very disappointed with his poor quality evaluation and poor bad site manner "No hi or no bye and no time for question". I was shocked and confused when he stood up and started walking out of the office without asking if I had any question or didn’t say bye". What a crazy bad side manner this MD has!! I am so upset and couldn't understand what just happened in less than 5 mins!! Before I realized and settled in his office…visit was over. I would have given minus 5 star if system could have allowed. Stay away from him and high priced advertisement they do!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
