She is very caring to her patients. She tried to schedule me on a day she normally does not do surgery, so that I would have more healing time before a trip I was supposed to take.(unfortunately Covid-19 postponed the surgery and cancelled the trip) The day of surgery there where several complications due to my unusual health history. Dr. McCarter came highly recommended by a respected anaesthesiologist for her exceptional surgical skill, so I was delighted to also discover she has a wonderful bedside manner. I knew I was in good hands with Dr. McCarter from the moment she first introduced herself: She was down to earth, good humored and easy to talk to, and she took her time to explain the surgery I would need. Dr. McCarter quickly earned my trust and appreciation.

Dr McCarter was recommended to me by a top Emory anaesthesiologist, so I knew I would be in good hands with her. But upon meeting, I was struck by how warm, personable, empathetic and smart she is. Dr. McCarter made me feel comfortable from the get go. Remarkably, I am actually looking forward to my scheduled surgery!

Dr. McCarter is a very patient-friendly doctor. She makes sure to see that her patients are well-taken care of and she is very knowledgeable. She is NEVER too busy to take the time to talk to you and explain things to your understanding. She is at the top of my list for caring doctors.

I went to Wellstar (South Fulton Medical Center) in an ambulance on an emergency basis and was told I needed surgery by the ER physician. Then I met Dr. McCarter. She was absolutely wonderful in explaining my situation and putting my mind at ease. She reached out to my PCP and kept her informed as well. She saw me everyday that I was in the hospital, and thanks to her I am doing excellent now. I would recommend her in a heartbeat.

Dr. McCarter saw my mother at Piedmont Hospital. When she came into the room she was so rude. She commented about my mother, looking so thin and asked what was wrong with her. If I knew what was wrong with her I never would have taken her to he hospital on the first place! My mother sat in the hospital under Dr. McCarter's care for approximately two weeks before she found what was wrong with he . By that time she was dying. I never want to see Dr. McCarter again. She is dishonest.

Dr. McCarter is an excellent physician. She quickly diagnosed my problem and operated promptly which actually saved my life. If for any reason you need to call her after surgery she promptly returns phone calls no matter the time of day or night. She explains medical issues in a manner that you can understand and she seems truly committed to making you better. I cannot say too many good things about her. She's wonderful.
