Gary Richter's Online Review Report Card

The administrative side of his practice leaves much to be desired. No timely follow up information, communication, or instructions. Not good for patient care. The lack of competence on his staff i s an all time low!!! They leave the office early even though his office hours are until 5 PM. They do not communicate with patients propoerly about test results.

The worst experience ever. Worst MA, cancelling appointments just a day before the appointments and ignorung phone calls or emails. Simply, they really don't care about anything and If you don't want your health to detriorate and get worst, then find someone else. I should have trusted the ratings and comments here before my health got worst but I will definitly file a complain.

Dr. Richter is an excellent gastroenterologist. He helped me through a very difficult diagnosis. He has a personable bedside manner and is extremely knowledgeable. I trust him totally and I am forever appreciative of the full recovery he helped me to realize.

The doctor is great however his staff is incompetent to the fullest! They don’t bill when they have a valid charge and bill for false charges! They also create scenarios that never happened because they are not doing their job correctly. His office administrator is a rude and tacky lady with zero skills to be in this role. Not worth it ...go elsewhere. Even Dr Richter can’t make up for this office admin.

Waste of time!!! Made an appt with doctor, and moved around my travel schedule, only to find out he took off for a business meeting and arranged for me to be with PA for my first visit. That was a huge surprise, after fighting with downtown traffic and struggling to find a parking space. What a waste!! Will not go back!

While I knew Dr Richter prior to seeing him for a medical issue, his staff completely destroyed the experience. They were rude, unresponsive, and generally nasty. I had a serious, life threatening condition at the time no one could figure out— until I went to a different Dr and he figured out the problem within one week (two visits). I did not go back to Dr Richter specifically due to his nasty staff!

I am extremely satisfied with the service I received while experiencing a colonoscopy. The staff was friendly, competent and professional all at the same time which eliminated all my fears. I was most impressed when Dr. Richter took the time to consult with me after the procedure even though he had other patients. I will certainly recommend Dr. Richter.

The staff here is what makes this doctor have awful reviews. They falsely charged me for a missed appointment that I cancelled in advance and when I called them to try and rectify the wrong billing charge,  the unprofessional office admin was rude and incompetent.  Stay away from this place unless you want false billing, rude staff and no resolution to the issues you may have.  Better business bureau will be contacted ASAP about this false billing practice

Dr Richter was my doctor for several years including during colon cancer. He was a wonderful doctor in all ways. Very professional and yet very friendly. I'm getting too old to travel into Atlanta from 2 hours away so am using another provider now. However I still urge anyone I can to see Dr Richter. Thank you for being an excellent doctor.

Wao.....cant even say all that went on with my prob.....lost 40 lbs in 3 weeks on wrong medications. Prob still there. Finally went to surgeon and did surgery
