Had a good experience with the doctors here
Dr. Blum and the entire staff were wonderful.
It is worth the wait and appointments.
This is the worst practice I have ever seen in my lifeFirst the nurse refused to allow me to speak or transmit my request to the doctor. I had to order my refills from Canada till the could make an appointment. Once I arrived I had to wait over an hour to see the doctor The Dr btw is great. Too bad he has to work for Georgia Urology. At check out time they were running like chickens with the head cut off. Extremely disorganized Took over 45 minutes to get my prescription. Now it has been almost a week and they refuse to give me my test results. They wont post them. Please Please stay away from this practice
Made the first call for an initial appointment for my 1 year old had an appointment the next week. Prefilled all the required paperwork prior to the appointment. Arrived and still had to wait about 2030 mins before being seen. Once in the patient room Dr. Smith was amazing. He explained what we were seeing how it could have been prevented and then educated us on it. He did the correction in the office.
We saw Kristin Wellman NP at Georgia Urology Sandy Springs PEDs. She is kind and caring and I would definitely recommend her to other people. She called us after the appointment for followup care. I wish we had been able to start treatment based on symptoms rather than having to wait a week for a culture to come back because by the time we had the information from the culture my child had started running a lowgrade fever. However I am impressed that Kristin took the time to personally call us when the culture did come back and made sure we had the medication needed for my daughter to get better quickly. I also like that she wants us to come back to make sure everything is 100% better. I also appreciate the fact that we were at our pediatrician office the day before and that they were willing to quickly work us in the next day.
We dealt with the P.A.s and they were awesome
PAthetic I recently went there and treated like cattle. Spent more time waiting than with the doctor Krittman or something like that not sure it lasted about 3 minutes. Then I explained to Kris Williams in the scheduling that I do not have a car and to please schedule ALL my appointments in the Alpharetta area. Did they do that? Of course not. They had me goin to Northside than Decatur even after she promised me ALL appointments would be in the Alpharetta area. I called and sent email repeatedly over three days tried to clear this up. On Kris Williams voice mail it says she will call you back within 24 Hours. Did that happen? She sent me an email supposedly with attachments explaining some directions there were no attachments did they do anything? No way because once they find out you have good insurance you go from being treated like cattle you become cattle crap because they do care if you have cancer or not just as long as you pay them their money. Its sad that when cancer patients have to endure this humiliation and disrespect when we are already suffering I beg you DO NOT GO THERE They lie and have no empathy especially if you have a serious illness LIKE CANCER.
A patient now for 2 years GA Urology is a life saver. Came to them after firing my previous urologist who was forcing me to prostate surgery using an outdated procedure. I went to GA Urologys Dr Shessel now retired who referred me to Dr. Kriteman who did the Greenlight procedure on prostate much less invasive . Kriteman was warm personal and listened to me very knowledgeable and positive and kind of funny. Procedure Went great recovery in a month and I was peeing like a 20 year old . Last Nov I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Dr Kriteman did the biopsy and explained details and options of surgery or radiation. I opted for surgery and he referred me to Dr Overholser another GA Urology Dr. who performed robotic prostatectomy. He is new to GA Urology but one of the best at this. Rather than doing the surgery and sending me back to Dr. Kriteman like many surgeons Dr. Overholser took me as his patient. Now 2 months past surgery I continue to be impressed by Dr. Overholser he genuinely cares guaranteed me that he was here for the duration. He is glad to meet with me talk to me explain things to me and patient is answering my hundreds of questions. I am SO HAPPY with him and with GA Urology in general. I rarely have to wait they have a great patient portal electronic check in the office staff are great and Ive never met a Dr or staff member who wasnt friendly. So glad I found GA Urology.
My son has been in the emergency room twice this past week. Referred here prior to being sent to the emergency room. Upon being seen his provider knew that he had mobility issues due to his condition and sometimes has to crawl around on the floor at home vs walking.Despite this she said it was fine to return him to school. Almost insisted. OK. Only writes him out for one day. Call to clarify about the other four days he was out of school due to his urology condition and was spoken to like a dog and told CONTRADICTORY information I asked the woman on the phone should he really go back to school if you guys know that he cant walk sometimes and tries to crawl? Well you should take him to the emergency room then ARE YOU SERIOUS because the provider he saw this morning said to only take him to the emergency room if he gets a fever and for nausea and vomiting. She was fully aware of his mobility conditions this morning and did not care now I have to take him to the ER because it is an issue? Which one is it Georgia Urology??

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
