He did a fantastic job on my laminectomy. And he cares about his patients. Relates very well.

Dr Velez helped me to try several other approaches before nothing was left to try but surgery. Tried steroids chiropractic epidural injections and PT. Finally I had to break down and do a laminectomy on L3L5. When I got to my room after a long wait in recovery Dr. Velez came by the room to check on me even though he had already walked my husband through the surgery. He came again the next day. I saw him more in my 24 hours in the hospital than I saw my OB during a 5 day stay after a csection. Dr. Velez really cares about his patients. Any review that says otherwise is inaccurate.

Seriously Ive had many orthopedic problems and seen many Drs in 45 yrs. Hes the best in all areas. Knowledge. Bedside. Surgical.

Dr Velez operated on my spine low lumbar after two previous surgeries by another surgeon who failed to relieve pain after two surgeries after Dr Velez operated on my spine I am pain free. Dr Velez is the best I highly recommend him.

Excellent surgeon wonderful bedside manner takes the time to review with you your condition and options. I was in pain for over a year and wish I had seen Dr. Velez sooner. He truly has given me my life back after having major spine surgery. In addition his office staff could not be nicer nor more helpful.

I was referred to Dr. Jason Velez when sciatic nerve pain failed to respond to initial conservative treatments. Aging is not for sissies. Aging with severe sciatic nerve pain that never stops... is misery on steroids. Dr Velezs medical decision making is precise. He initially discusses and prescribes conservative treatment. My pain did not react to epidural steroid injections or oral medication. When we discussed surgery he did advise microdecompression surgery was elective and not required. He also advised that it may or may not stop my pain or improve my quality of life. His selfconfidence was enough to convince me that if he performed the surgery I could expect a positive outcome. 20 days ago I could barely walk stand or sit. Today I feel like the pain and surgery never happened. His professional demeanor is relaxed. He didnt creep me out of anything. Dr. Velez is my hero

Dr. Jason Velez performed neck surgery on me in 2012. Prior to the surgery he suggested many different options which I took before it reached the surgery stage which I ultimately requested when more conservative procedures failed. He is not quick to suggest surgery When the surgery day arrived he again went over what would occur to answer any questions and to put me at ease and followed up with me first thing the next morning. I saw him several times after the surgery and have has great results. No more excrutiatiing pain in my neck. He has EXTREMELY skilled surgical hands as the incision made on my neck to do the neck surgery is almost invisible. In fact I have to point it out to people when I show them where the surgeon goes into the neck to do the surgery. Dr. Velez has great patient interaction. He is a good listener and easily communicates with the patient he doesnt have a superior attitude very downtoearth. My overall impression of Dr. Jason Velez is he is a SUPERIOR orthopaedic surgeon and I highly recommend him to anyone suffering with neck pain.
