At 73 years old, I had never had a backache, then it hit hard! Massive pain and immobility came. After 2 rounds of steroid shots and PT, only limited relief. Met with Dr. Heller, surgery was my main choice. 5 hours of spinal surgery, L4, 5, S1, decompression and fusion happened. Not one bit of pain for 4 1/2 months. Sure, there were angry nerves and discomfort for 3 weeks following surgery. Then the puzzle pieces became a quilt. I could see myself healing, I followed the rules of taking it easy. Regaining my stamina has been a goal. I longingly look at my suitcase, hoping to travel soon. Dr. Heller is clinical, direct and didactic. He patiently answered every question I had. Lisa is truly amazing and responsive. Amanda is quite knowledgeable and shares her information. They are truly gifts. I appreciate this team and his skill as an incredible surgeon.

I am 69 years of age. I underwent lower back surgery for spinal stenosis, had fusion of L3-L4-S1 7 months ago. I was not able to walk more than 2 blocks because of leg pain. I can walk now without pain as far as I want and started playing tennis (singles for 1 hour). Marvelous results. Thank you Dr Heller

Terribly dismissive. Left me in more pain than I started with. Did not relieve symptoms. Blamed everything on my weight. Did not discuss potential complications but noted them in the surgery notes to try to cover himself.

Went in thinking I need surgery and Dr. Heller was honest enough to tell me that is not the case. I left feeling a weight had been lifted off my being.

In August 2021, I could only stand still for two minutes, walk for 10 minutes, and sit for 30 minutes without pain. Dr. Heller operated on me on August 30, 2021. In July 2022, less than a year later, I walked the Camino Ingles in Spain, 75 miles without pain. I highly recommend Dr. Heller and his team!

I had spine surgery a year ago and my outcome is unbelievably fantastic! The nerve pain is gone in my arms, legs, and neck and im regaining my strength. Headaches are gone, neck movement is great! Thank you!

Dr. Heller literally gave a 2nd chance at living a painless normal life. Spinal stenosis. I don’t want anyone to suffer from it. It is Baaaaad! Dr. Heller must be one of the most outstanding talented surgeons there is. Now I am fixed and living without the horrible pain. He is warm, compassionate & understanding. His staff members are very friendly and helpful. Especially Lisa! If you have spine issues, go to Dr Heller! Thank you, Dr. Heller!!!

Dr Heller did a complicated lower back surgery for me a few months ago, He explained all involved in this surgery and patiently answered all my questions. My recovery has been without complications. I highly recommend this talented surgeon.
