Had surgery on knee! Dr Foster lll is a Very Good doctor! He being my doctor for years the best his staff is so nice and careing
MY NAME IS SONYA NICHOLS, DR. FOSTER PERFORMED SURGERY ON MY SHOULDER AND HAND A FEW YEARS AGO AND I HAVE NEVER FORGOTTEN THE WAY HE AND HIS STAFF MADE ME FEEL. DR. FOSTER'S BEDSIDE MANNER IS IMPECCABLE AND THE MILD MANNER IN WHICH HE SPEAKS AND THE KIND HAND HE USES MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN YOUR HEALING PROCESS. IT IS ALMOST 5 YEARS LATER AND I STILL RAVE ABOUT DR. FOSTER AND DOMINION ORTHOPEDICS. SONYA NICHOLS
Dr.Foster did surgery on my left shoulder in 2015 & my right shoulder in 2021. My recovery was phenomenal on both shoulders. He is very professional & so is his staff. I always looked forward to going into the office. I highly recommend Dr. Foster.
I have been a patient of Dr. Fosters’ for 6 years. I suffer from displacement of cervical and lumbar interverterbral disc, shoulder sprain, and post concussive syndrome. He and his staff have given me the best of care after an accidental fall. In addition he has been a party in the referral and treatment of my cognitive therapy. I believe he is an excellent doctor and person. As a former submariner, F 4 fighter pilot and orthopedic surgeon he is very knowledgeable and interesting to talk with . I plan to be a patient of Dominion Orthopedics in the future.
Dr. Foster is an AMAZING, professional, yet still a caring person with GREAT bedside manner. He listens to our concerns & we make decisions that's best together. He's a skilled and knowledgeable surgeon. He goes above and beyond on the care, treatment and educating us on my husband's knee injury and surgery. The staff is great and friendly. We Love Ms. Bercita, she's attentive & always happy to assist! THANKS Bercita. We couldn't have asked for a better Dr than John Foster! 💛 The Collins'
I have known Dr. Foster for over 20 years. He performed two surgeries on my feet when I was in my 20's. He left such an impression on me, that when my son broke his knee cap a few years ago, Dr. Foster was the first call that I made. If you are looking for a truly caring Dr. that puts his patients needs first he is the Dr. for you! I would recommend him very highly. He is a wonderful Dr., Surgeon, and person.

Pros: His staff was very courteous and professional when providing me with comfort. He was very thorough in his explanation of the tendons affected. Cons: I was told he specialized in podiatry but he does not He didn't see what 2 other doctors prior to him saw, making me question his credibility. I didn't feel like he was careful in assisting my foot because the way he moved it seemed as though he didn't care about my pain or condition. Not to mention it re-swole nearly half it's size by the next day, and the pain was back to where it was during my original injury by the time I left his office. he seemed very ill when assisting me, and so my husband who has a weak immune system felt very uncomfortable with what he may have had. And it also caused him to close his eyes often making us wonder how well he evaluated the X-rays. My splint was put on WAY to tight and I felt it burn and hurt all night long. My primary doctor was able to get me what I needed to fix that. Final thoughts: We pray he gets better but also that he is giving accurate follow-ups too. We were sent to do an MRI so hopefully that follows through for the pain I'm feeling, but felt as though seeing him was a useless visit. I didn't even get what my primary sent me for.

Has some neurological issue where he jerks violently sideways every 30-45 seconds. No way should he be doing risky spinal procedures and surgeries. I can't believe he is allowed to do surgery and epidural steroid injections. This guy has no bedside manner, does not care about the patients goals in treatment, and tries to force you into procedures you are not comfortable doing. He does not listen to patient goals in treatment, and it is his way or the highway.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
