List of Northside Heart - Atlanta's Reviews
Northside heart used to be top shelf about 10 years ago but they have gone downhill big time, the staff is incompetent beyond belief, perhaps the worst I’ve ever seen, impossible to deal with, it would take far too long to describe all the buffoonery that I’ve witnessed in my most recent encounter, Ive had it, time to jump ship
I had an appt at 9am. I was coming from stockbridge and I left my house at 7:30. Directions said it was gonna take me an hour and 30 minutes to get there. I call them as soon as they open at 8am to inform them I will be late. When I get there the front lady was rude and said the doctor said she won’t take late patients and nobody told her I was gonna be late. They don’t care anything about the patients that is why I will be going to Emory from now on.
Update: I received a follow-up call from someone who was sincerely apologetic, thoughtful, and direct. That conversation completely changed my perception of the situation. The way it was handled made all the difference for me to give them another chance. Problems can happen anywhere—that’s part of life—but what truly matters is how they’re addressed. In this case, the response made me feel heard, valued, and respected. I truly appreciate the care and professionalism shown in resolving the matter. ———— Extremely Disappointed with Inconsistent and Disrespectful Treatment My recent experience with Dr. Cesar Cruz and his office left me feeling so disrespected as a patient that I feel compelled to share. On March 18, I had an 8:30 a.m. appointment and ended up waiting almost an hour before I was finally seen. I was patient and understanding—things happen. However, today I had a 3:45 p.m. appointment, and due to unexpected rain and traffic, I called ahead to inform the clinic I would be about 15–20 minutes late. I was told there might be a 15-minute grace period. I arrived at 4:04 p.m., only to be told the doctor had already left. I find it unacceptable that I’m expected to wait close to an hour without complaint, yet a 19-minute delay on my part results in a missed appointment with no flexibility or care. This experience made me feel invisible and unimportant as a patient. I will no longer be seeking care within this network and will find a provider who respects patients’ time and health with the same consideration they expect in return.
The ladies at the front desk are just rude. Making patients want to seek another office for care. I came in 1 minute late and the young lady said the doctor could not see me, after calling to inform them that I would potentially be late. If you're working in customer service, be ready to serve. There is also a way to say that doctor cannot see you, without being rude and short. I hate that we have to spend so much time, money, deal with health issues and THEN we encounter someone like this.
Scheduled for 12 clock appointment, show up at 1145 and was told the equipment is down. Young unprofessional lady at front desk said they called, they did not. Coordinator research said they failed to call. This could very easily delay my surgery. Front desk customer service seemed to not care
Had been hospitalized for cardiac issues, and needed to make an appointment with a cardiologist. I booked a new patient appointment with Northside heart Atlanta location and was scheduled with Dr Parham Eshtehardi. Upon initial interaction, Dr. Eshtehardt seemed rushed, and disinterested in my appointment. The appointment was so fast, I didn't get a chance to really discuss my history and symptoms. He did however order a heart monitoring device for me to wear for 30 days to track my heart's activities. He told his staff member to schedule me for a 30 days follow-up and prescribed a new medication. As my follow up drew near, I had some pretty serious cardiac episodes that landed me in the hospital. The company that monitors the device alerted Northside heart of the episodes 4 hours after they took place. By that time, I was already in the E.R. I did rcv 2 follow up calls from Northside heart, one from dr. Eshtehardi's colleague (who was very kind and concerned), and one from him. As I recall, both doctors seem to understand that I had an up-and-coming appointment as it was mentioned during both conversations. On the day of my follow-up I was alarmed at how rude dr. Eshtehardi's nurse was to me. She started the appointment by asking why was I there. I said I was scheduled to be here. She said "what's going on, anything new happening," blah blah blah, and ran down a brief list of symptoms to see why I was there. I explained to her that THEY made this appointment for me, as my follow up, and then she said, "why would we make your appointment before all of the days of your monitor were done?" I informed her that I had no idea, but they had and I thought they really wanted to see me because I had been hospitalized and because THEY scheduled the appointment. She rudely, condescendingly, and very hastily regurgitated some of the talking points doctor Eshtehardi had made during his call to me when I had been in the hospital. And askedd, why would he want to see me so soon. I was floored. She made it clear how unwanted my presence there was and asked if I still wanted to see the doctor. At this point, I let her know that I didn't really want to bother anybody and I was only there because they had scheduled me to be there. She then said "I guess we dropped the ball." And I said I would leave it up to the Dr whether to see me or not. The Dr. Came in and we had a brief perfuntory exchange and then he says there will be no charge for the appt. The worst part of this is that I am already emotionally and physically stressed and worried concerning the condition of my heart. But, to be mistreated, dismissed and made to feel like a bother for attending an appt that THEY made for me, was surreal. This experience falls in line with the subpar and unprofessional experiences African American women face from so many in the medical community. Even tho the nurse was African American, she suspended ANY and ALL care and medical professionalism when it came to my visit. She soaked up all of the annoyance the Dr. seemed to have had for my appt, and dutifully unloaded some of the worst treatment on me, as if she were an overseer and we were on a 1700s plantation. I am not sure why she felt so comfortable behaving in thst manner with me. If this office does not want a certain demographic of patients, they need to let it be known because the heart is the most important organ in the body.
Called and called and called and left messages to be call back in 24 hours, and called again. Please do yourself a favor and do a mystery shopping experience like if you were a new patient trying to make an appointment. You might learn something, please do the experience! Finally got a call back today with an extension number, called the number but there are no options for extensions, so I decided to lie and say I was an existing patient, a human picked up and sent me to the extension. I was supposed to call and and and and : I am back to square, we will contact you within 24 hours This is madness I left a message saying that I will go somewhere else even if Dr Isaac recommended me to you. I just cannot spend my days behind the phone trying to make an appointment.
I like Dr. Yoon very much but dealing with his office staff is frustrating. Making an appointment, I was rushed off the phone when I was trying to get basic information about the address and where to go and park, and when I asked to change the appointment time, the receptionist laughed like it was a silly request and I was being annoying to them, then before I was finished she hung up on me. Then another lady in the office rushed me off the phone when I was trying to schedule a test, didn't stop to get my phone # and annoyed when I asked her whether she had it. Very frustrating. Addendum: spoke with office manager who is very nice who assures me that she will handle the situation. I feel confident she will.
Staff is genuine and friendly. Great office. Dr. Yoon and Nurse Adrian are fantastic...and had the Knowledge to assit me of my health situation. Made me feel very comfortable. I appreciate this type health care.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
