List of Piedmont Healthcare Foundation's Reviews
While they might not have the most up to date medical gear, Piedmont makes up for in its wonderful employees. I just went through a difficult 36 hour labor at Piedmont Athens, and the doctors, nurses, and staff went out of their way to make me comfortable and help me recover. I could not have had a better birthing experience without this crew. Special shout out to Karyn, midwife Megan, and the nurses who helped me in the labor room (I’m sorry, I was delirious at that time and have now spaced on your names)…it takes a special heart and dedication to do what you do—and you truly put my needs first. To see that selflessness day in and day out tells me I picked the best hospital.
I've asked to have my email address removed from all patient records at Piedmont and I've been ignored. I am not and have never been a patient at any Piedmont facility.
My experience here at this location was not a very good one. The staff was very unprofessional and not concerned in the least, from the receptionist to the nurse who treated me. Very unwelcoming atmosphere. I was told by Dr. Patel that I would receive her feedback from my physical and instead I received a call to make a video conference appointment. I decided to contact them that same morning to ask if there would be a charge and they said yes! I am so glad I decided to ask, as I had not been informed or anything. If I did not ask, I would have just received a surprise bill in the mail. Also my visit with Dr. Patel, seemed very rushed and unconcerned. The doctor had a witty personality and she was nice, but I did not feel the care from her at all. Today I was told that the Doctor does not do phone calls to patients and to contact her directly via the portal. I am very disheartened by this level of service and I will not be back. I have never had a doctor not go over the results or give at least feedback and this is very underhanded not to advise the patients of the policies and procedures up front. Not trustworthy.
Some ways to improve will be having this particular doctor, Erica Renee Eaddy to speak to your patient b4 and not listen to your idiot of a nurse for her patient diagnosis. I called in about my coughing and just coughing and her idiot of a nurse diagnosed me in having the COVID-19 and told the above idiot and sent a different nurse to ask me to exit the office and Erica (not a doctor) was refusing to see or treat me.
This hospital is terrible! We were there for almost 90 days and they have no interest in making anybody better. The caseworker Joey wanted to kill my stepdad. She did not do anything she was supposed to do in order to get him out of there we had to do our own foot work. The dietitian never wants to give vitamins to people which would actually make them better they literally want to kill you do not take your loved ones here ever!!I guess they make more money on people dying versus living! Do not take anyone you know here!
Dumping a patient on the sidewalk with tubes and clearly still in need of medical care, absolutely disgusting! Shame on you, and the doctors who discharged him should be stripped of their license as a clear violation of the hippocratic oath.
They care more about money than your health. Pay up, or they literally dump you out on the street. This place should be shut down!
Not only did they eject a patient who was still critically ill (whoever would push a septic patient, with tubing still attached, out on the street?!), but, they refuse to take ownership for this ugly move. While they cannot lock their Facebook account, they locked Twitter so that no one can tag them, and no one can post to their page. Seems like you not only need a better policy of care, but you might just need a better PR person. This whole thing just doesn't look good on you, and everyone involved should be ashamed to their core to let this happen. I wouldn't be surprised if this was not the first time this happened for a patient whose Medicare ran out, it just might be the first time it was picked up by the news. Shame on you!!
Worst hospital ever. Kicking a person out with tubes still attached is inhuman. I hope he sues and I hope every staff member involved in this evil act is fired and never hired to work in healthcare again. May karma come back around on each and every person who was entrusted with that man’s care.
They dumped a very sick man out on the streets where he was found unresponsive. I hope he sues and you all go bankrupt.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
