I posted this 30 minutes ago and she's still in line: I don't know how bad the rest of Piedmont Hospital is, but the outpatient lab work setup is terrible. Barbara has been in line for more than an hour now. And by "line" I mean standing in a halfway packed with other hopefuls. No chairs, no benches, just a line of people with medical issues, many of them senior citizens, carrying slips of paper and wearing or carrying their winter coats. It's stupid, and it's cruel.

Have recently switched from WellStar to a Piedmont primary care doctor and disappointed in follow-up communication regarding labs, scheduling 4 week follow up, and just the ability to phone my doctor. I came back from a three week cruise in March of 2020 and after treating a plane full of covid patients I contracted the virus. I was quarantining in a hotel in Atlanta and the pain got so bad I walked to the hospital. My blood pressure was high and I had a huge headache. They refused to test me for the virus. I was sent back to the hotel. I survived, but the care was inadequate and not in line with protocols.

I was at Piedmont For a test on Thursday morning as I was leaving the 95 Building, I passed out in the lobby. I want to thank all those who came to help me. I know one person’s name was Lil. The rapid response team got me to the ER. I was admitted (and will add that I only waited about 3 hours for a inpatient room). The nurses on Tower 8-South were great. The PCTs were great. I was well taken care off and no complaints from me. The doctor originally said I would only be there overnight but it turned into three nights. I love Piedmont and all my doctors there. Thank you to the healthcare team who took care of me.

Don’t believe their signs, no support person is allowed back, came here with severe pelvic pain while pregnant and the lady flat out said the signs out front of their ER were “wrong”. So take them down? It’s simple. Stop tricking people into comping here thinking they will have a support system? The lady was incredibly rude and simply said okay bye! All excited that I was leaving. I hope she experiences a medical emergency and gets the same treatment. I literally gave a great review from a previous experience and will not return due to the hateful behavior.
