I called this office this morning to ask about new patient appointments. I had been told I needed a referral from my primary doctor before booking, so I just wanted to clarify the process. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude, short, impatient, and completely lacking in empathy. I’m feeling overwhelmed right now, as I was just informed I may have a condition that could lead to kidney failure. I’ve been calling several doctors’ offices over the past few days, and every other interaction has been kind and compassionate. This one stood out in the worst way. Sadly, I didn’t catch the person’s name, but based on my experience, this office needs serious training in how to treat people, especially those who are scared and looking for help. They didn’t have availability until August, so I ended up going elsewhere. But even if they’d had an opening sooner, I didn’t feel welcome or cared for. You lost a patient with me.

I had a pretty extensive surgery back in March at Piedmont hospital. I have kidney disease and my regular doctor doesn't go to Piedmont so I saw the nephrologist who was making rounds that first day who happened to be Dr. Ramasamy. I have a host of issues including kidney disease, alopecia, osteoporosis, DVT and several more. I have been dealing with all of these issues for about 3 years now and they all seemed to come on at the same time. Of course, each time I saw one doctor they would refer me to another. When Dr. Ramasamy came in she said- we need to look and see if there is a bigger picture and maybe these are all somehow related. She said she would review my entire chart and pick her brain and see what she could come up with. The next morning she came in and asked me about my nutrition- which is less than desirable. I don't eat seafood, drink water, eat fruits or vegetables (all of which every doctor I see knows) and she said- it's your nutrition. If you're not going to eat right you need to at least be drinking Ensure every day. Since then I have been drinking the ensure as instructed as well as taking all of the other medicines she recommended and my labs have never been better and I actually have a little hair growing back albeit only on the right side of my head- but after going completely bald I will take that as a step in the right direction. She has to be the most caring doctor I have ever seen in my life- trust me I have seen just about every kind of specialist there is. I only wish she saw patient's in the clinic and not only at the hospital. Everyone should have the opportunity to see a doctor who cares so much and doesn't just want to pass you off to the next specialist.

Started seeing Dr Katz last year. He is very knowledgeable and very easy to converse with. He put me on a diet that so far has made me drop 25 pounds and my blood work including my glucose numbers are looking better and better. My health overall is better and its all because of him. Thank you Dr Katz.

Staff is treated poorly and are not considered before the profits of the business. Go elsewhere.

If you fail to take care of your employees, how can one expect you to take proper care of the patients

Lack professionalism and give false promises to employees. If this is how they treat those who they employ I fear how they treat patients.

These doctors don’t care about their patients or their staff. The put families in tough finical positions with false promises. The tell you one price but charge another. Go anywhere but here. This place doesn’t deserve your business.

The doctors here couldn't care less about their patients. I've decided to go elsewhere and would encourage others to do likewise.

They put my family in a really bad place financially. They're scam artists. Please go anywhere else.

Don't much care for them.
