My husband & I got married in May. Last week he was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm after he ended up in the ER. we were both very impressed by Dr. Schuette after his surgical consult yesterday. His office staff/nurse practitioner/nursing staff were so polite and professional(Juanita & Markita (?!) Were the 2 ladies in the admin side I spoke to) there was barely any wait time to see the Dr. (Even after a thorough consult with the Dr as well as speaking with np, we were there less than 1 1/2 hours.)
Dr. Mccracken did my surgery in February and I wish I never would have gotten it done or had someone else do it. The bedside manner prior to surgery was great, but while in the hospital, I was treated so horribly. I asked him to come and see me because of some of my concerns and I was treated so poorly. He refused to see me and sent his partner instead, who treated me even worse. I was alone due to to covid restrictions and felt like I was a burden the entire time. I tried to advocate for myself but was so sick and uncomfortable that that was extremely difficult. Since my surgery. I can barely see out of my right eye. I had imaging done in the hospital that was clear, but at my follow up, I basically got a shoulder shrug and was told it was clear in the hospital and “what did I want them to do?” I’ve chosen not to go back and am seeking treatment elsewhere. There’s a good chance the damage done to my right eye is permanent. Others may have had a great experience here, but I wouldn’t recommend this place, or having any surgery done at any Piedmont hospital. The nursing staff was amazing, but the doctors act like they’re infallible. The internal medicine doctor on my post surgical care team, Dr. Aggrawal, was even worse. Stay away. These people do not care about you.
Dr McCraken was very helpful with a family member.
Dr Kavah Khajavi did not want to treat me for a severe cervical stenosis because he didn't want to deal with my insurance company. He said my surgery wasn't necessary, which was a complete contradiction of another spine specialist and even his own MA. My treating physician wrote in my office notes that he's not sure why Dr Khajavi said surgery was not necessary BECAUSE surgery is the only option. My doctor said Dr Khajavi was wrong.Dr Khajavi is not a warm person. He made up his mind about me before he walked in the room. He wouldn't look me in the eyes or shake my hand, and he was very rude...all because he did not want to work with my insurance company. Please don't make an appointment with this guy if you are on disability. He's very abrasive and will purposefully misdiagnose a serious condition to avoid being bothered with questions from insurance companies. His opening and welcoming statement included a 5 minute soliloquy on how doctors do not have time for that process. He does not have patient's health in mind, especially if there is a pending personal injury claim involved.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
