My name is Francisco M Duran, me, and my family are patients of Piedmont Physicians Group. Recently they fired all the American nurses, black and white, all of then nice ladies, and they brought nurses from Africa, is a disaster, they misunderstand English and if you ad this to the negligence of Doctors Jason Smith and Doctor Parks, very BAD TO FOLLOW UP ON REFILLS.somebody needs to do something; a I almost forgot, very good to charge the money and overcharge. they never validate parking even they order a lot of expensive studies. Piedmont Physicians Group is a scam.Francisco Duran Rosillofranciscoduran.rosillo@g…
Horrible - Stay away!!! Unfortunately almost a year and I have to say this. Do not go to this Dr's Office.Went to the Dr 5/24/2016 after catching what I think is pneumonia. I get into the exam room and Dr Taylor comes in. He asks why I'm here. And he's always done this. You know read the dang chart before coming in. I explain my symptoms. He then said okay going to listen to you chest. He does and said yep you have congestion. I'm like okay that's it. Now as a patient. I expect the Dr to probe ask questions get the all and everything. You know?Anyways, Dr Taylor didn't send me for a chest X-ray, mucus tests, blood count tests, NOTHING. just gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. How would he know I have pneumonia? He can see through chests??I take prescription for 6 days and absolutely nothing gets better. I continue to run a 103 temp, cough like there is no tomorrow, and miss a week of work.Sunday my fever is no better and I go to WellStar Urgent Care. The team and Dr there did there due diligence. Chest X-ray, flue swab, blood count test, and they CONFIRMED I had pneumonia. The meds I received from Dr Taylor do not treat pneumonia. So I get new meds. A shot of my meds prior to leaving a picking up script. One day later and my Symptoms are already going away!!!!!!Wish I would have used a different Dr. I would not have missed work, been as sick all week, missed the Memorial Day picnic with family, and wouldn't have missed a volunteer opportunity.Oh and Dr Matthews is a jerk and my wife can back that up too.The team at this office needs to attend a WellStar office and get some training.
Please, if you care about yourself or your loved ones, do not visit this office.Others have pointed out that the receptionists are rude, and it's true. There's no rhyme or reason for how they will treat you - if you are lucky you get what I think should be the default - a smile and a verbal greeting. If you are unlucky like most, you'll stand around awkwardly until one of them slaps a clipboard down and commands you to sign in. It's now happened to me about 3-4 times, and every time it makes it feel like the visit is starting off on the wrong foot.Again as others have said, if you are scheduled for a certain time, they tell you to arrive 30 minutes prior, which is fair. Despite this, once you are called and placed in an exam room, you will wait an average of 45 minutes no matter what you are there for, regardless of whether you see a PA or a doctor. I'm not sure why this is, but it has always been the case. But - these things alone can be part of any doctor visit, and if I'm being honest, they aren't enough not to come back. That is, unless they try to have you committed to a mental hospital like I was. Seriously. This is difficult to talk about, but I have mild depression. As I have come to grips with this, I felt the only responsible thing to do was seek help. So understandably, I was nervous from the beginning of my visit. At first, the PA I was talking with seemed understanding about my condition and how we could proceed with treatment. Then she went and consulted with Dr. McDaniel. When she returned, her whole attitude had changed. She held me at arms length, and told me that I should call ahead to a local psych ward, and that if they felt it necessary, they would hold me for a few days. What?I did not then and do not now fit the criteria necessary for that recommendation. It was very embarrassing, somewhat scary, and most of all, disrespectful to me as a patient. Keep in mind, all this happened without any proper questioning and Dr. McDaniel never saw me personally. You would hope that if they truly felt that I was a danger to myself and to others, the appropriate kinds of questions would have been asked. But they weren't. Instead, the PA talked with me for a few minutes and it was "strongly recommended" that I volunteer myself to an institution. Wow. Since when did my life become "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"?I feel for any future patients of this office who might be struggling with something similar. It's an unfortunate reality of our culture that depression is still very common. But - it is still very commonly treated. But apparently not at Piedmont Vinings.Sorry for the long review. I do feel its necessary for people to know what they are getting themselves into by going to this office. I sure didn't; now I'm down a vacation day, and the bill is coming in the mail, all for absolutely nothing.Source: I am married to a doctor who works at Piedmont downtown. So I know how good healthcare is done. There's simply no excuse for this. I'm not going back.
Vinnings Location:First Impression - One of the front desk women are not very friendly. The one with a lot of earrings. She never makes eye contact with you while you are checking in and always sees very busy. Perhaps she is, but I never feel that she is welcoming. I have been seeing Dr. Delgado and was a little disappointed because she has such great reviews online. She was just OK for me. She doesn't go into details with you. While she is very sweet, I just don't feel like I got my money's worth when I saw her. I always felt like I left with a lot of unanswered questions. From a practice perspective, I am just not a fan of their follow-up. The nurse that I work with does call me back in a timely manner, but they communicate with you as if you are supposed to know everything that you are supposed to do next. Getting blood work done there - The wait time for that was another 30 minutes. I'm use to that being an in-and-out thing. Needless to say, I won't be returning next year for my annual or for any other ad hoc visits.
I used doctors at Piedmont Hospital for years. After tiring of driving and parking nightmares, I decided to get a doctor closer to home (Vinings). This is a great group; my doctor is Dr. McDaniel. He is very thorough, knowledgeable, and personally concerned about the patient. The office staff is polite and efficient. I just wish I had made the move years earlier!
Piedmont Physicians group is possibly the worst family practice I have ever been to. Their front desk was rude to me when I called in to schedule an appointment as a new patient, had an attitude and acted like scheduling me was such an inconvenience to her.I went in to be seen for a severely sprained ankle, and was seen by Dr. Taylor. He was extremely inconsiderate, caused even more pain in my ankle during the visit and charged my insurance over $400.00 for a visit that was less than 10 minutes. These charges were all for nothing, as no X-rays were ever taken, there was no follow up treatment recommended, and they didn't even give me so much as an ace wrap or an ice bag when I was visibily in pain and could barely walk. I ended up leaving their office with totally inconclusive results as to whether or not my ankle was actually sprained or broken. He also recommended several tests that were totally unrelated to my injury that were not necesary at the time.I also work in the healthcare industry and have never dealt with such an inconsiderate staff or Doctor. I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone!
OMG are you serious?????? This practice is the worst I've seen in my 60 years- Guys if you are looking to be treated by a cold bitch receptionist and wait 45 minutes AFTER your shelled appointment.... Hey be my guest and enjoy it.... Then GD forbid you said something about it, you'd get the fifth or even worst " treated like Jonah"

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
