Not the best experience I have had. I had an appoiment with the clinic to have endoscopy done on 2/24/2023. However, the procedure was NOT performed because I had breakfast that morning. The problem was that a bunch of people called me and asked me a lot of questions but none of those told me or sent me an email to tell me what I need to do prior the procedure. Also, I was told that someone would call me on Friday 2/24/2023 or Monday 2/27/2023 to reschdule the procedure. No body did. I had to call several times and exchanged some messages with the clinic to have my appointment on 4/21/23. I went to the clinic and had the endoscopy done as planned on 4/21/23. They did some biopsies on the samples the took from my stomach and the result came pretty quickly after the endoscopy. I received a message from Emory that the result was availabe. However, by reading the result, I had no idea what it meant and what I needed to do. I waited for more than 10 days to see if this doctor provided any explaination of the lab results. He never did. On 5/06/23, I sent an email to him/his team to ask what the result was and what I needed to do. I received a response from a support person stating that "The pathology showed that you have a bacterial infection. It is very common and we treat it when detected so there are no further problems. As soon as the doctor decides on the regimen, I will send it to you." On 5/10/23, I sent another email asking for estimate of the response from the doctor but was told that they sent a message to a doctor and hoped to have his response soon. Well, meanwhile, someone setup another appointment for me to go to the clinic on 6/14/23 without calling me or explaining to me what it is about. Also, I am not sure how they know my availability to setup this appoiment. Wow, this is really confusing. The doctor may be very knowledgeable. However, the communication needs to be improved.

Dr. Chawla has taking care of my husband for 2 1/2 years. He is a very knowledgeable, and caring physician. He always puts patient’s interest first. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
