List of Southeastern Interventional Pain Associates's Reviews
I am absolutely livid at what has gone on at this office. I have never as a patient in my over 51 years on this Earth, been disrespected, disregarded and ignored, as I was today and previous months. I always give chances, but not with my health. SHAMEFUL!!
I went a couple of weeks ago, and it was a long wait. That's because 1 provider was seeing pts that 3 providers used to see. I rescheduled, because I had some other things to take care of that day. I went back yesterday, saw the Dr, and was very impressed with her care and concern for me. She spent the needed time with me, to refill my pump, and discuss my medications and make sure they were working for me. I was really impressed with Dr Smith. I think she spent the necessary time needed with me, and probably every pt. Thank you!
I was a former patient here, seen by Dr. Rollins. When the 3 health care providers were FORCED OUT ,I had no choice but to see Dr. Smith. It was the most unprofessional visit of my life. She scheduled me during her LUNCH! Then she criticized prior Doctor's to me. I was given Dr. Sheahans phone number by one of the patients in the waiting room. Thank you God, I was able to get back with him ....a REAL doctor!
Great staff my doctor takes the time to listen to your Concerns
What is going on? I’ve been trying for weeks to get ahold of Christie in billing, have left voice messages and no response. Just now I spent 45 minutes trying to get ANYONE on the phone. I followed the instructions, pressing 1 for scheduling. It puts me on hold and the voice system just keeps looping around asking me to do the prompts again. Is this office closed? UPDATE- I finally heard back from Christie so that is resolved. However I still need to reschedule my next appointment but when I called today the answering system says they are closed? According to the listed hours they should be open.
I have been a patient with SIPA since '16 when a doctor there consulted on one of my legal proceedings. Much like everyone else I was shocked when the previous doctors and NP were gone overnight and replaced with Dr Smith. Whom I have never seen. She repeatedly canceled and pushed back my appointment and each time I asked if she would still be able to submit my meds. I was anxious to be seen and figure out why the drastic cuts to medication to a patient she had never laid eyes on and who told me she couldn't find extensive records on me. This past month they went on vacation for a week, refused to fill my prescription till they see me and pushed my appointment out another 6 days. After trying to contact them over a dozen times (documented), two trips to the ER, (I have new cervical damage due to suddenly coming off my medication.) I was told they would prescribe me something to help with discontinuation syndrome. Which they haven't yet. I take care of a terminal cancer patient, my ex-husband, and our my daughter who has the same genetic condition that led to his cancer. Needless to say we have spent a lot of time in the medical system and this is far and away the most jaw dropping treatment I have ever seen. I mean who pushes out appointments for life or death treatment and then uses not seeing a patient as an excuse for discontinuing treatment? In the next few months my ex-husband and I will be giving testimony on the Hill in relation to patient support. This treatment is one of the reasons that the speech I wrote just went through the shredder. Edit - 09/22/22 - I have now been diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy. Between the sneezing and vomiting I have had two discs herniated. Meanwhile a prescription for a drug that is no longer available and would be dangerous for me to take was called into a pharmacy. One that has nothing to do with what I am experiencing. The pharmacist thought it must of been a mistake. So far I haven't been contacted.
Dr Smith is very nice and the office staff is as well. I’ve been going to this office for 12 years and I have always had a great service and care. I have recently noticed there is a longer wait time but that’s due to Dr Smith being the only doctor at this time. I do have confidence that things will work out soon and she’ll have some help. If your considering this office I give it a go. They really are good and will work a plan to help you in feeling better.
Rude and unprofessional to say the least. KP referred me to this place for placement of an intrathecal pain pump but when I called to set up an appt you get an out of date voicemail saying they're on vacation but it dates back several months now. I left numerous messages asking for a call back and even went on their website to book an appt and fast forward 2 weeks later and not a single call back after multiple voicemails. Finally reached someone on the existing patients line but the woman rudely told me they weren't accepting patients. When I kindly told her about the voicemail issue and my experience rather than keeping it professional she got an attitude and told me well sir "I'm not ashley". Guess what I don't care, do you take pride in your work? If so maybe pass along the message and in the meantime take responsibility for a failure in your system and look after the overall well reputation of your employer. It's as simple as an apology and making sure the voicemail is changed to reflect that you're not taking new patients so people seeking your services aren't waiting, often times in pain, for a doctor they'll never see. This place is obviously full of rude and incompetent administrators so I'd imagine the culture eminates throughout the staff so I'd steer clear if you can. Surgery is one of the most impactful things you'll ever have to take part in so make sure you're in good hands. Zero stars for the staff at this place, your staff should be reminded regularly of the hippocratic oath and take it to heart. Hope you guys have a culture change soon. God Bless
Dr. Shirley Smith and Southeastern Interventional Pain Associates are great. Dr. Smith is very personable, takes her time to listen to your issues, and is a very empathetic person. I highly recommend Dr. Smith, her staff, and SIPA.
I hate to give such low rating. I’ve been a patient w the practice since 2011 w Dr Rollins. Since he left, Dr.Smith has shown to be caring and supportive and understanding of my situation. I must say tho, the business practices, like not being able to reach anyone for 2days straight bc they have Ms.Amy’s automated voice saying they’re unavailable… even tho it’s business hours! Smh it’s sickening.. literally. I’m just wanting a mri ordered. I have a procedure next week and have acquired a new injury that could potientslly affect the injections.. yet I’m on here telling the reviews instead of the nurse bc no one will answer the phone. The staff(nurse,Dr.Smith) have been very helpful tho. No shade. It’s jus maybe corporate isn’t equipping them at the front desk but it’s giving…. Unprofessional atp.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
