List of Wellstar Health System's Reviews
Great staff but incredibly slow. I've now been waiting 3 hours to just be discharged from a small back injury. Please get help!
I had a near death experience and Atlanta medical center helped keep me alive, I will forever be grateful for them. Their staff is also very sweet
Worst Emergency hospital ever. It should be shut down. They literally do them minimum to check patients out. Give diagnosis while every patient is sitting in the same room. Took my dad there after a wreck. Went back in forth with the head nurse and doctor because she refused to give him and X-ray on his swollen wrist. She told me I have to high of a standard because it’s my dad. Fast forward few weeks later went to her X-rays and his wrist was surely broken.
I came in here Tuesday and was seen immediately. I was admitted and they have been great. I came here because I wouldn't have made it to Grady, as I was having trouble breathing due to my high blood pressure and CHF. People say Grady is better. Here, I have never seen people on beds all thru the halls because there are no rooms in the ER.
I had a Pulmonology appointment in another building on the same campus of Wellstar. I was in the wrong building, winded from my condition and late for my scheduled appointment. Dorothy called the office which was across the parking lot, verified the info with the receptionist, walked me out the building with directions on how to get to the suite and back out to the parking lot. I don't know about Wellstar, the facility or their employees, but Dorothy gets 5 GOLD STARS from me. If you read this, thank you so much!!!
Needs to be shut down again. They need to provide better care and treatment for patients. Horrible customer service and the security guard is terrible. This place is not friendly at all. Like why be a hospital seems more like a jail.
On April 9 2021 my wife was rushed by ambulance to this hospital. We spent about 5 hours at this hospital. Most of the front desk staff was awful. They lost my wife's first draw of blood, put the incorrect ID bracelet around her arm and treated her poorly. I actually don't 100% blame the front office staff I blame management for inefficient and ineffective leadership. There was 1 bright spot during our brief stay there. The doctors and a couple of the nurses that were in the room @230 am, you all helped save my wife's life. This is a tip for those of you who work at the front desk area. Your actions and your attitude are actually hurting people. If you are doing it just for the money, then leave and let someone who actually cares fill your position
If I could give 0 stars I would.. this hospital should be ashamed of themselves sending patients home in pain when they know they could prescribe them something. Just lazy and pathetic
HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!BLACK WOMEN, DO NOT COME HERE.BLACK WOMEN, DO NOT COME HERE.I REPEAT, FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR LIFE, DO NOT COME HERE!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT US AT ALL. TO MAKE IT WORSE, HALF OF THEM ARE BLACK WOMEN THEMSELVES. THE WORLD HAS DONE A NUMBER ON US, SO SAD.DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!
Worst place ever! My mother died after being in their care. The doctors couldn't tell if her C2 vertebra fracture was an old or new injury (she fell & put her head through a wall). Entered their care on a Thursday morning 1am and didn't find her dislocated hip until Saturday!! One nurse she had on the cardiac floor insisted on her eating & force fed her food & drink. She was being tested for swallowing with a specialist & this woman was pouring water down her throat! The nurse tech under her actually filed a complaint against her for elderly abuse! It doesn't even help contacting patient advocate! This happened 2 years ago. Two years ago I requested her medical records (also from their ortho group across the street) to this day I've never received them! Stay away & if it's trauma go to GRADY!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
