Wonderful, professional and kind staff!!
I switched my care here from University of Miami in June thinking I made the best decision. By far the worst experience since I've been undergoing treatment. This hospital treats you like a number, not a patient. Don't open up and ask for therapeutic and psychiatric services because you'll only be neglected or presented anti-psychotic or anti-depressant medication, no therapy. Ive been diagnosed with lung and brain cancer and have YET to meet with a neurologist once since becoming a patient in June. They interrogated me as if I was a drug seeking addict and took me off my previously low dosage prescribed pain and anxiety medication, medication that has helped me throughout my treatment. I expressed my concerns multiple times with my care team and patient experience, only to be neglected, left dealing with pain and severe anxiety. They'll bill your insurance and get paid, but neglect your true needs. Please do your research and think before admitting yourself or a loved one here.
I want to share my sincere appreciation for the outstanding care I received at Emory Winship Cancer Institute, specifically within the Otolaryngology Department. From diagnosis through surgery and recovery, I was treated with the highest level of professionalism, compassion, and expertise. Special thanks to Laura Dean, PA — she was attentive, patient, and thorough. Laura made sure I understood each step of the process and always took the time to answer my questions. Her kindness and professionalism made a huge difference during a challenging time. Dr. Merry Sebelik was my surgeon and provided world-class care. Her expertise, precision, and steady confidence immediately put me at ease. I knew I was in the best hands; she guided me through the surgical process with clarity and compassion. She is amazing. The surgery and recovery went great. My pain was minimal!! My partial thyroidectomy went very well overall. I have no complaints. The staff treated me and my mother with exceptional respect and warmth. As a fellow healthcare professional, I deeply appreciate the level of care and communication I received. I am truly grateful to the team and will continue to seek care at Emory going forward — thank you so much for everything.
I went there to have a follow up and my mammo tech Mary Ann, was sooo sweet and caring! She was able to answer any concerns and made me feel so comfortable! Her assistant Jasmyn was also a jewel! Thanks to the both of them for a great experience!
Very poor performance by nurses and staff. They don’t want to understand what patient wants to do. So rube I transferred my case to Augusta.
Great hospital with horrible valet parking. I have been coming here for the last few weeks. I have waited 25-30 mins to get my car back from valet services each visit. They say they are understaffed. The staff never knows how long the wait will be. My advice would be to self park.
My sister was admitted to Emory University Hospital from June 30th to July 10th and then transferred to Emory Winship from July 10th to July 25th. At Emory University Hospital, the care was excellent. The staff and nurses were compassionate, empathetic, and attentive to both my sister and our family. We felt supported and confident that she was in good hands. Unfortunately, our experience at Emory Winship was completely different. On the 15th floor, where cancer patients are treated, the environment was distressing. Many of the nurses demonstrated poor bedside manner, often lacking empathy and professionalism. At times, their behavior compromised my sister’s dignity and self-respect, which was incredibly painful to witness as family members. The only staff who consistently treated her with compassion and kindness were some of the techs and the cleaning staff. What troubles us even more is thinking about the other patients on the 15th floor who may not have a voice or a family member to advocate for them. They deserve better than what we witnessed. After being discharged home, my sister also faced serious medication management issues. She had to message her pain management doctor repeatedly for two weeks before finally receiving a call back—the very same day her last dose was due. This caused her immense emotional stress, as she feared being left without the medication she depends on to manage her pain. For a cancer patient already enduring so much, this was unacceptable. Overall, our family is extremely grateful for the compassionate care at Emory University Hospital but very disappointed and alarmed by the experience at Emory Winship. Improvements in empathy, professionalism, and communication are urgently needed, especially for the vulnerable patients on the Oncology floor.
My experience at Emory facilities has been amazing. Especially Winship with my Oncologist Dr. Ruth Sacks. Attended an appointment with Radiology. Another amazing experience with Dr. Lin and a resident Physician who was exceptional! I am always so at peace when I leave any of my appointments. The the valet parking assistants are my favorite because they make that first point of contact so pleasant and supportive. The Nurses, nurses assistants and front desk employees are all amazing. God bless them all for their dedication to our journey!
I was there to accompany my stepson who was there for treatment. The staff were very friendly and accommodating from start to finish.
Good doctors and good services. I have the long halls you have to walk down to see the doctor.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
