Adam Hoover's Online Review Report Card

Terrible bedside manner. I was in terrible pain in my leg due to herniated disc. Never seemed to care about listening to my problem and would interrupt and cut me short. Only seemed to care about getting me discharged and to see my doctor. When I called my wife to come get me he must of been close and came back in room and rudely talked loud so my wife could here him. VERY VERY RUDE and no way be a doctor.

Absolutely horrible bedside manner. May have the knowledge, and I understood what he was trying to tell me, but he went about it all the wrong way.

They don't have anything lower, this man didn't even examine me, told me to go to my doctor 's appointment. Compassion 0, arrogance 10

A few years ago I visited the ER at University and was seen by Dr. Hoover. He was knowledgable and informative. I ended up diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease and admitted to the hospital for a short while. Dr. Hoover recognized and idenitified my syndrome right away and quickly scheduled the necessary tests to confirm. His bedside manner was excellent, he listened to what I was experiencing and took the time to explain what he thought was happening and what options I could choose for treatment. He explained each step and test they could perform, why they needed to be done, and what the different outcomes in recovery may be depending on the treatment I went with. I am very grateful he was the doctor on duty that day.

I just got home from a visit to University Emergency Care and I am so furious and mad right now. Never had a doctor treat me like Dr Adam Hoover did. I have had pneumonia for several weeks now. Its been horrible trying to sleep. I felt so bad this morning that about 5 am I called the ER to inquire how bad the wait was and was told there was currently no wait so I go to the ER. Everyone was just as nice and some even shocked when I walked out not longer after getting there. After having vitals taken and Adam comes in there and i explained how i felt and was getting any sleep and had a bad headache and sore neck from sleeping awkward. I told him even with my cpap and congested its hard to breath. he listens to me breathing and said to get some Afrin and it will really work good and knock this out in 3 days. It really does wonders and walks out. The nurse thens says she is doing my discharge papers i was like what the hell. Katy was very apologetic. I asked for something for the headache. she comes back with ibuprophen and i said i have that at home and took gown off and walked out. the nurse at the entrance was shocked. we had a discussion and i leave almost in tears and very upset. SURE I WILL GET A HUGE SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLAR HOSPITAL BILL! BE WARE!!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT EVEN WANT TO GIVE HIM A 1 STAR

Was patronizing and dismissive throughout. I clearly explained I had a history of stage one cancer. The signs it had metastasized were evident in my blood work. He ended my visit saying "The good news is you don't have cancer" Thank God I advocated for myself after that and received a proper diagnosis. Scary.

Dr Hoover was rushed, rude and patronizing--he spoke to me like I was a child. I clearly explained that I had a history of stage one cancer. The evidence it metastasized was evident in my bloodwork he reviewed, yet he said "The good news is I can assure you don't have cancer" While I don't expect an ER doctor to know everything, he should have said "There is something off in your blood, call your oncologist to be sure" Thank God I did! Although I am now stage 4.
