Dr Morgan-Gibbs is the absolute best! She always makes me feel comfortable and important! She listens and is so caring!!
Dr Morgan-Gibbs is very experienced and if she can not treat you, she will send you to the proper specialist. Very pleasant and easy to talk to.
It has taken many years for me to reconcile my birth experience with Dr. Morgan-Gibbs, but I now know that her approach to pregnancy care is sterile and harsh. I suffered a very traumatic birth experience under her care and subsequently suffered postpartum depression and PTSD. Even though my water broke on my own, she still pushed pitocin on me and when I wasn't progressing fast enough for her timeline (she wanted to get home for dinner) she came in the room and told my husband I was going to have a C-section. I wasn't even consulted. I was then over drugged and separated from my baby for more than 3 hours. I have since had 2 more children and worked with many different health care providers, all of whom showed actual care for their patients. My first birth experience under Morgan-Gibbs was not acceptable. Every woman deserves an OB who practices compassion and evidence based care. Morgan-Gibbs likes to operate on her own timeline and personal schedule. I would not recommend her to anyone looking for a peaceful birth.
She has so many patients and works fast and swiftly. Once she has fixed you she forgets you. More concerned about her family and clique friends. Sees you as dollars but calls you darlin.
She is the very best OB-Gyn in Augusta.
She has been my DR for years have bought up 2 problems and it was do to meds I was taking. I happened to mention 1 problem to family DR. and he said to go to see a uriologist and he took care of one of the problems right away I I d seen her 2 days before surgery and said everything was fine this was 3 or4 yrs going through about 4 diapers a day Tells me there is a problem with my r breast says it needs to be taken care of right away. Dr considered the l breast more of a concern & I am having surgey early next month
I went to her many years ago. I had long labors with first two. After 6 hrs she decided I needed (deserved) a section. Told me baby's heart rate kept dropping. I cried and wanted to die during and after the birth. Funny thin when I requested my medical chart there was no mention of baby distress. Only failure to progress (on her time line).
She is good if you want a scheduled c section and no answers to your questions. Even if you schedule your c section she could end up sick and wont remember.
Dr. Morgan Gibbs is an experienced, highly qualified physician! She has been my Ob-Gyn for many years. She takes her patients very seriously giving each quality care.
I have complete confidence and trust in Dr. Morgan-Gibbs. She takes time to talk and explain and makes you feel at ease. I have complete confidence that she would always give you her best. No doubt about it!!!!
She is good if you have a serious medical condition, want a scheduled induction or c-section, or you want to be the passive, uneducated patient who never asks questions. But if you dare ask something like "Could I possibly do X during labor?" (something like use a shower or intermittent monitoring) she will turn on you. She likes her patients passive and quiet. Look elsewhere if you want to avoid a cascade of interventions leading up to a c-section. Oh, and often I waited 2+ hours for a 2 minute appointment. Unacceptable.
Dr. Carla Morgan-Gibbs , has been my doctor for 20 years. She is a very caring ,and understanding person. She does a through exam. I would highly recommend my doctor .
I recommend Dr. Gibbs to anyone. She was very thorough in her examanations and she showed a caring attitude towards me
If you want a natural birth, keep shopping. But if your in the market for a medically managed, cookie-cutter delivery, she's your girl.
