The staff at the emergency department were amazing!! my 8 month old has a 103 fever and we rushed to get to the er, they took their time to listen and take care of him! the nurses & doctors were so kind & answered all my questions and never made me feel like an inconvenience even though they were super packed! i would definitely recommend taking your babies here!!!

My son has been a patient of Dr. Pilcher and then Pilcher Pediatrics after Reggie died, since birth in 2012, and I, myself, was a patient of Reggie’s when I was a kid, from 1987 on, so we wanted to stay with the practice. Pilcher Pediatrics was absorbed by AU health after his death, and I’m sad to say that my son will no longer be a patient, not due to Pam, but due to the absolutely terrible intake staff. I called for an appointment yesterday and told the receptionist that I’d like him seen because his Tourette’s is going off again and he’s now beginning to have trouble speaking at times. Something he is very self conscious about. We were seen today and the intake lady comes in and goes “you’re here bc your kid has a bad stutter” right in front of my son, who is 10, and who is very embarrassed by the new stutter he’s developed. I was FLOORED. My son immediately went bright red and teared up, My son’s father was shocked as well, and politely said “please use more discrete terminology because he is embarrassed.” She goes what are you talking about? And I said “it’s pretty standard practice to be a little more sensitive with embarrassing issues rather than blurting your kid has a bad stutter.” And she RUDELY says to me “well maybe you should’ve done a better job explaining to the front desk what the problem was because I’m just reading what was written.” Again, FLOORED.And she continued to go off about how it was my fault she said what she did and how she said it. NEVER did I, in my discussion with front desk, did I ever say “my kid has a bad stutter.” I said that he’s having speaking difficulty that I believe is related to his Tourette’s. Apparently the receptionist who made the appointment butchered what I said and wrote that nonsense, and the intake lady clearly had no training in patient etiquette. Or speaking in general. I will never subject my child to this practice again. A doctors office is supposed to be a safe space, not somewhere they go to be humiliated by brash and incompetent staff.

This place is an absolute joke! Highly recommend NOT bringing your kids here!!!!

i’ve been here for 7 hours. they have done virtually nothing. i can barely walk and they gave me tylenol. do not come here. the facility is dirty the bathrooms are disgusting and our room literally had a hole in the wall. the doctor was very rude and would not listen to my symptoms and downplayed them completely. and there was mold on the ceilings

This hospital has caused me and family trauma the doctors are have no compassion they treated my son like a number. did not listen to my concerns at all!! Nurses had no clue on his care plan they told me all they do is make sure he is safe and that's all. they were rude and showed no compassion!! The doctors were deceitful and did not care on separating my son from me during the holidays. they caused more damage than good did not follow up with me at all to see if this was the right thing to do all they did was push him through to get him out. they did not care about my outpatient care for him. my son is in Savannah Georgia instead of being close to me we live in Aiken sc they did not care about the distance at all !! I'm still in tears we are traumatized will never go to this hospital again!!! they treated me horribly I will stick with South Carolina care!!! this hospital bullied me in a decision that was not best for my child only them!!! and then they threatened me into this decision that has caused a great deal of pain to me and my family!! I will never forget this decision!!! they are so insensitive to your needs !!! This hospital did not care of our circumstance are situation. they completely deceived me and bullied me.

We love the people here. They took very good care of our child, as well made sure we were comfortable. I would recommend them to everyone.

No better than Pedimont ER department....I'll stick ro Doctor's from now on.

Been here since 3pm it's now almost 7pm and we haven't been seen yet.
