3 hr waiting in ER ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
The nurses here are nice, doctors are terrible and slow.
Dr. Vita Goei in the pediatric GI department is nothing short of negligent in patient care. I expressed concern with my child and stated that something may be wrong with her liver or gall bladder because of symptoms and she agreed so ordered blood work. we had blood work done at a local hospital because We are almost 2 hours away from Augusta. I got the results from my local hospital and started calling about getting the results from the doctor on November 17th due to abnormal results. I called multiple times only to get a call back after my fifth call telling me sorry we seem to have lost a blood work can you send us another copy on Friday December the 10th. I finally received a call Monday December 12th a day before we were due to come up there for my child's 6 months to check to tell me the blood work was abnormal and when we came they wanted to do a liver ultrasound as well as some more blood work. We went and saw the doctor on the 13th and did an ultrasound as well as additional blood work and an x-ray. All of that was done and I pulled the results from their portal only to find that deliver enzymes have increased even more within that month. They did hand me a copy of ultrasound but did not explain it to me at all It turns out that her liver is enlarged as is her spleen but they did not let me know that due to her enlarged spleen she did not need to avoid any contact sport or riding a bike because getting hit in the stomach could cause extreme damage to her. I have called twice and even let the nurse know that this is extreme negligence and they need to call me back to let me know what the plan of care is for her so that we can get her back on track because not only were her liver enzymes off but there was also other blood work that was off. I have also called and left two messages for the patient advocate but I have yet to hear back from them as well. It seems like patient care is not the number one priority here and it's ridiculous that I had to schedule an appointment with the different doctor to make sure that we can get a plan in action to make sure that my child was taken care of! if somebody would have called me back when I started calling a month earlier we could have avoided the issue getting worse in the first place.
This hospital is beyond unorganized. Their bedside manner is piss poor with children depending on the day. The doctor and nurses can’t seem to get on the same page at all.
Worst experience of my life, and not just bc my kid is in the ER. She was transferred here from a different ED to specifically get an ultrasound. Got here at 840pm and it's 133am now. The restrooms are disgusting and everyone is super laxed. She was made to do a urine test and told not to eat or drink. Now ultrasound won't take her until her bladder is full. This is some back wards crap. My kid is not crying bc she is medicated but this does not negate her pain. I just had a doc come tell me her blood work was clear. The blood work they did 3hrs ago. I am in no way saying this hospital does not do great things for kids but the ED needs assistance, training in customer care, ASAP.

Don’t waste your time taking your child here. The way I was treated last night is shocking. The doctor couldn’t even be bothered to test my child’s urine when I brought him in for crying when he pee’s. Ruled it HFM even though my child has no signs of HFM. We’ve already lived through that nightmare. I’ve already filed a complaint and will be sure this is addressed.
Just go to Doctor’s instead. This place is extremely understaffed and slow.
Be carful bringing your child for care. This hospital will call dfacs on you! And put you out and force you to leave your sick child alone! They refused to feed my child! Lost our in take paperwork! Violation of hippa !!!! also they violated my parental rights in picu! They called the police on a mother that brought there child here for care and trusted they would take care of us! They failed us! This hospital allows doctors to be rude and nurses to be MIA there entire shift! As I walked around all nurses are on their phones they do not respond to machines beeping for hours! They will call dfacs on you instead of helping you! Be careful this place will try to judge you bc they think they are better than their patients! I will advise to record your conversations and interactions. They left my daughter unattended for hours had I not been there nurse didn’t follow orders my daughter ended up on a hi flow breathing machine! Then when I requested to transfer my daughter they called police and defaces to remove me for 24 hours away from my sick child to be left alone! 8 months old at that! I asked Amy Thompson resident in picu to feed my child she used her authority to remove me to follow her medical opinion and called the police on me! All bc I asked to feed my daughter a oz of milk to sooth her! My daughter was on oxygen for hours with the leads off oxygen censor off and not monitored! With in the visit I had three nurses and two doctors apologize for their mistakes!!! Be careful!!! Oh they also allowed the police in the picu with out a mask!!!! Everyone at risk at this point!!! Sad true story!
Wish I could give zero stars, place is horrible. Sat in the children’s waiting room for two hours only to be kicked out because my son had to use the bathroom and if you leave after 12am you can’t get back in “due to COVID”. Please tell me how your response to the Covid crisis is to cram everyone in to one waiting room where it’s impossible to social distance because so many people are waiting? Then I sat in the adult waiting room with my child for three more hours before I asked if someone could tell me how long it would be. But because we came from the children’s side they don’t know? Nobody in the front is willing to lift a finger to help. Nobody. Sorry behind security guard was rude when I only asked her who could I ask about how long it would be and allowed a patient to sit there cussing and fussing in front of all the children that were put out of the children’s ER waiting room. Finally we just left. Do yourself a favor and just go to Doctors Hospital. A bit of a drive for me but well worth the trouble. All my kid needed was a Covid-19 test. Could’ve swabbed him in triage. And save your generic “reach out to patient advocates” blah blah blah reply. People have been complaining on this hospital for years and absolutely nothing has changed.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
