Dr.Bates is a wonderful doctor and surgeon. He made me feel comfortable and safe . He talked me through my procedure in words that I could understand and answered any questions that i had with compassion and honesty. I have a very hard time with social interaction so me being completely comfortable around him speaks volumes. Its hard to find good down to earth doctors these days. Thanks Doctor Bates for taking such good care of me.

Doctor Bates and his team are so professional and this dude is wonderful!! He's approachable, very attentive to the patient concerns. He explains everything about your procedure to the patient and approved family members. I was referred by Dr. Tarpley at Piedmont (kudos). He did my surgery from the intake to the anesthesiologist, everyone was spot on with patient care. I would trust any of my family members to be placed under the care of this magnificent doctor and his team. Doctor Bates is definitely 5 stars plus!!💪

I would like to say until I meet Dr.J Bates, my faith in Doctors was not on the upper scale of medicine, but that’s another chapter we won’t go into! To make it short and to the point! He is a true human being and his professionalism is out standing in all respects!! He has redeemed my faith in Doctors and humanity to the highest level! If your looking for a caring and understanding professional Doctor, Doctor J Bates is your man! Thanks Dr. Bates for being there when I needed a real Professional, sincerely with all respects! Dr Bates is a Fantastic Surgeon who I would trust my life with! He’s a Godly Man and he Literally Saved my life along with God guiding his hands. I would recommend him to anyone he has the Best Bedside Manners and he explained Everything To me that he did! I’ve had Many Surgeries but this one that he just performed July 5th was the Riskiest and I had no problems with my Incision compared to other surgeries. You can Put your life in hands with No Worries

Dr. Bates did surgery in October on me with minimal discomfort and hardly any down time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Top notch bed side manner too!!!!

Took my pop’s appendix out at 4 p.m. he was back at work the next day. Never heard another MD have anything but positive remarks

I needed emergency surgery, my doctor said he wouldn't send me to anyone other then Dr. Bates. I'm glad he did, I have no complaints about how I was treated.

Excellent surgeon. I can’t speak more highly of the care I was provided. It may have been a routine and common procedure but he provided plenty of information about what was going to happen. He’s confident and extremely knowledgeable.
