List of Lauren Ploch's Reviews
I was disappointed with this doctor at all. She came into the room for less than 5 minutes. Talked to me like she was reading a manual. Wasn’t really interested in listening to the issues going on. She rushed through the visit and was a bit rude. Bad day, maybe, I don’t know but she wasn’t very professional. This was my first visit and will definitely be my last!! The ladies at the front desk were very nice. I will be finding another doctor!!
Dr. Ploch is wonderful! She listens and explains what is going on. Lovely bedside manner.
Arrived on time for 4:10 PM appointment. 5 patients ahead of me. Saw doctor at 5:10 PM. She was not happy when I asked why I had to wait so long. She said that she had just gotten behind. I asked why did she and the staff not set up appointments so this did not happened. She told the scheduling person to make my next appointment with the other doctor. Then, yesterday I received a registered letter dumping me as one of their patients. I guess I was supposed to be grateful that she was my doctor no matter how long I had to wait. During my 2 visits with her, I found her to be less than through in dealing with my dermatology issues. I would not recommend her.
I cannot even express how wonderful this office and it’s staff is! HIGHLY recommend.
I saw dr. ploch on Dec. 15th 2020. She was nice, told me my problems, wrote prescriptions. Made a follow up for March which was the soonest. Got them filled at local pharmacy. Used the ointments up by the 1st week in Jan. Called her office to see if she would send a fax to my mail in. Carrie says she denied request until follow up visit in March meaning I have to refill at pharmacy and pay. I have insurance and a mail in so I can get them for free. I think this is very rude and unprofessional. I have worked for lots of doctors since I became a medical assistant and have never known any of them to deny a request for a person using their mail in pharmacy.
I have been extremely satisfied with Dr Ploch. She has been very professional and explained what she found and treated or referred me to additional specialist as needed. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. Worlds above my previous Dermatologist who seemed to think most everything could be solved with liquid nitrogen and “just have you wife keep an eye on it”.
Dr Ploch was everything I expected and hoped for. She did what needed, asked the right questions, took the appropriate actions. The staff were great, excellent experience.
Over the years I have gone to three dermatologists, all very good. 2 are retired now. I was referred to Dr. Ploch in December 2018. I am 65 and paying for my younger years playing at the beach, fishing on the river, and lots of other outdoor activities. Since January I have seen Dr. Ploch several times. In my opinion, Dr. Ploch, Alexis, and all the other staff members I have dealt with at Georgia Dermatology are models of efficiency and compassion. The best way to summarize is this team has my trust and faith.
This was my first visit. Check in was completed quickly by efficient staff. Dr. Ploch saw me shortly afterwards and completed my full body scan thoroughly, addressing issues as she went. She "froze" one area of concern and biopsied another that was troubling. I was then sent home with verbal and written instructions on how to care for the wounds. Will be seeing her for follow up in a few weeks. Very good experience.
I was not impressed with this doctor at all. She came into the room for maybe 5 minutes. Talked to me like she was reading straight from a textbook. Wasn’t really interested in listening to the issues going on. She rushed through the visit and was a bit rude. Maybe she was having a bad day, I don’t know but she wasn’t very professional. This was my first visit and will definitely be my last!! The ladies at the front desk were very nice. I will be finding another doctor!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
