I may not like them sometimes for whatever crazy reason my borderline decides for the day, but they have helped me a lot. They also are continuing to help me no matter what I say to them. They are trying to help me live as normal as possible while letting me make my own decisions. There really are good people there who go above and beyond from what I have witnessed and experienced. They help people start their lives back over by finding them jobs and a place to stay while they help them work through any mental problems and past abuse so they can function like everyone else in society.
Really helping my son.. Nurses talk to him to calm him down when his bipolar gets the best of him .. You get what you put into people .
Well my experience with Serenity has been one of the best methods for my recovery, besides Hope House, they have a great Staff, and my doctor Dr.Julian Bravo help me with my medication, talk to me,listens to me and provide me with the Keys on everyday cooping skills, even though I speak with him on via-T.V the help is always the for anyone who wants to be helped!!!
I went to serenity under rare circumstances in which someone I loved fabricated truth to send me there. As you could imagine it was very frustrating to be somewhere I had no choice to leave until I was given clearance by the doctor. Since it was over the weekend I ended up being there for 5 days. It was one of the most awful experiences of my life. What I can say though, is that the staff made it easier for me. They all had this specific demeanor where they respected the patients in a certain way that I for one thoroughly appreciated. It's like they knew that not everyone asked to be there and that they weren't willing to treat us as though we were not any other adults. They were there always. Ready to help or talk to you when you needed it. You could go to them at any time and they were ready to talk about whatever it was you wanted to talk about. But they also didn't hover over you as though you needed to be treated like a child. That's really a good thing in a place like this considering nobody is going to be thrilled about being there. They had a good combination of "we are here and concerned about your well being. We can help you. We can talk to you about any problem you're experiencing and we care that you are comfortable while you're here but we respect that you don't need or want anyone treating you like a child or like you're not an equal". I never felt like I was being judged and considered to be problematic. They treated me as though we were meeting under other circumstances. Considering I should not have even been there I have to say, I really appreciated that. It's the same way they treated everyone else. I had a roommate who got a little excessive with asking for medication. She gave the nurse a hard time and the nurse was very patient with her. Telling her that she was already struggling with enough as it is and to take that time to sit back and let them help her. She was trying to explain to her that she was there for a reason and to focus on getting better and not worry about anything else. That they were there for that purpose. To help people get back to their lives. I was conflicted at first because I was not aware of what actually happened and I believed my roommate when she said she was being rude to her. It was not until after a few days that I found reason to suspect that she actually was not well in her mind and that she was very quick to lash out or blame others for her circumstances. I know that she wrote a letter to corporate about the nurse and asked Me to sign my name as a witness. I did. Out of believing her at the moment unaware of how she was and I wanted to write this review because it has been heavy on my conscience. Something like this can affect someone's job and I am hoping this was not the case for her. She was actually very sweet and even other patients would tell her things like "you ought to be getting a raise as much as you walk around checking on people and talking to them." One thing I can say is that I think she has a certain tone at times that she doesn't mean to have (I know this bc I am told this about myself ALL the time and I never even realize I'm doing it) and it can come off as being rude but I don't think she means to do it. I think Itll be at a time she's got like 13 things going on and every time she came back and addressed the person like "ok. I'm sorry about that. Now what were you trying to talk to me about?" Overall the experience was as positive as it could have been for what it is.
Don’t judge this place by the look of the building! Yes, you will wait, and to get a 1st time appointment is AWFULLY hard (the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5). Once you get in though, it’s worth the wait, worth the paperwork. The staff is fairly nice, and they truly care about your well being! They give you the options for what you need to help you. I went to counseling and got on some medication for depression. They were kind, and efficient! Thank you to Serenity for helping me! ❤️
It's alright don't really like how the psychiatrist is over a computer.
Cause I work there.
My experience has been pretty satisfactory. Scheduling is easy, staff always pleasant and helpful, only 1\5th of the time there is a 30+min wait to be seen, the facility is clean. I have not seen the CSU so cannot rate it.They offer comprehensive care for people suffering from the ravages of mental distress, connecting them to professionals and services that provide assistance.Sometimes I see a doc via video conference and sometime in person. I've been pleased with both. It's troubling that certain medications are prohibited to be prescribed according to facility policy...even in the most dire circumstançes that warrant and justify its use. Sadly, the doctors must abide.
I give this place 3 stars because of Dr Messulaum. She is awesome. The whole place makes her look bad. They never answer the phone and they don’t return your calls. My daughter used to see a counselor named Renee Slappey-Bates. From the jump it seemed like when she found out we didn’t have government insurance, she wanted to send us elsewhere because we have private insurance. I realize she has to get paid, put she didn’t even seem to care. She didn’t check on my daughter when she stopped showing up or anything. I felt she was glad to not go through the hassle of my insurance company. I would reach out to her for appointments and I was totally ignored. I will be seeking counsel elsewhere.
I'm guessing they hv they picks, I've never had a bad experience while going there, only thing is they do hv u waiting for a while so be prepared (i.e. bring cell charger, earbuds, a snack, & dress comfy)

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
