Freddy A. Achecar's Online Review Report Card

I use Dr. Achecar years ago and he did fine So I had my knee go out back in July 2021 did Xray and MRI he suggest repairing it. I was unable to walk at all But he still wanted me to go back to work even after I explain to him that I work at a hospital and im on feet 12 hours lifting and helping patient he still insist I even sent him a copy of my job duties . I had the surgery on July30th 3 mths later I am still unable to hardly walk and my pain is so bad I went back to him he wouldnt listen to nothing I was saying I did everything I was told to do put Ice on it went to therapy wore my brace all he would say his hurts also He me gave nothing for the pain he gave me cortisone shot in both knees even after I told him I already been getting shots and they dont work. I got so tired of going to a Dr. that just doesnt care and want listen to his patient. I had to end up going to a different Doctor that actually listen and really trying to help me.

The doctor was ok. The office and staff were terrible after the fact. The doctor was certain the cortisone injection would have me back on my feet in a week did it quickly in office and mentioned the names of some other treatments if it didnt help. He did not describe the processes or time required for the next step though. After almost two weeks I contacted staff still in pain and unable to walk. They offered one of the other injections but again said nothing about the time or process required. After almost another two weeks I followed up. They claimed an insurance issue on the medication for the next injection but when I called my insurance and looked at the pharmacy orders Resurgens never initiated the authorization request. Instead of following up on the first order they just opened another the day after I contact them. They then let it sit for another week. I heard nothing from them but got a denial for nonpreferred medication from my insurance over a week later but dated only 2 days after the initial order. No one initiated an appeal or new order again until I called. They could have had a preferred medication and I could have been treated in less than 2 weeks. It has now been six weeks since the visit and over two months since my pain started with no relief and no concern from those who are supposed to be invested in my health.

Dr Achecar and his team are great compassionate and caring folks. Been seeing them for 5+ years and just had a knee replaced and looking forward to have the other one done soon. Dr Achecar like every other doctor doesn’t have time for hand holding but sure makes every encounter personal and to the point of improving my condition. He explained my condition and treatment options as well as listening to what I had to say. His technique for a total knee strives to impose minimal damage to surrounding muscle which allows for reduced recovery time and experienced pain not that a little pain isnt involved. No pain no gain. My gain is 3 weeks after surgery Im going up AND down stairs step over step. I credit his talent for that yeah I did have something to do with it too. I highly recommend him.

Been seeing Dr Achecar for 5+ years for knee issues in both legs. During that time he has allieviate the pain I experienced yes there were times something didnt work but there was always another route until recently when he did a total knee for me. Im currently in my 3rd week of recovery and couldnt be happier. His technique ensured minimal damage to surrounding muscle to reduce recovery. I was walking slowly unassited by any means in 2 days after outpatient surgery. 3 weeks later I can navigate up and down stairs step over step. Hes a net kind of individual focused on doing what will make you better and less of a hand holder. He explains whats going on with your issue lays out the plan and with your agreement executes the plan. A lot depends on doing the things recommended dont expect a whole lot unless you are willing to put in the effort. He and his staff are caring and professionals that sincerely want the best outcome for their patients. I look forward to work with Dr Achecar and team to replace my other knee in the furture. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a talented orthopedic surgeon and willing to put in the effort to improve your condition.

Dr achecar did a partial knee replacement on me 2 years ago and I have been back 3 times with the same pain I had before the surgery only for him to spend 5 minutes to sk me what I had done and give anti inflammation drug and tell me to come back in a month I would not recommend him to anyone He spends no time with patients to find out what the problem is

Dr Achecar spent less than 15 seconds with my91 year old mom in law who fractured her hip two we eks ago. We didnt get a chance to discuss her therapy healing time or possibility of surgery. Oh but he did take the 10 seconds to reduce her pain med from 4x a day to twice a day And tell us to come back in 3 weeks then left. This was our first and last visit to Dr Achecar. He spent more time with the patient next to us discussing his up coming vacation and how sweet his kids are and that is all we learned that day.

He gave me back my life.

Was in and out before appointment time. Willing to show me xrays and explain them. Time will tell if my opinion stays positive.

Very compassionate and skilled surgeon. I needed a hip replacement and felt he had my best interest at heart. Highly recommend Dr. Achecar.

Dr Acheacar is the best doctor I and my husband have ever had.
