By far and hands down the best urologist in town !  He has successfully done 2 very successful operations on me and I hope I don't need another but if and when I do . That's my " go to " Surgoen!! He's also got a great bedside manner and in my experience treats all his patients with care and communication. I wish all my doctors took the time to explain things like Dr. Gupta . Bottom line , you only want a caring " best" especially in that region, if you know what I mean. Look no further Amit Gupta's your guy!! Bobby G ( grateful patient)

I can say without a doubt, Dr. Gupta has been nothing short of amazing. I was referred to Dr. Gupta after I went to the emergency room due to a sharp pain on the right side of my abdomen only to find that I had a partially duplicated kidney all my life and it had just begun causing issues. Given this was such a rare condition, I was nervous about not being able to find the right care, but several doctors at Cedar Sinai all referred me to Dr. Gupta stating he was the best physician for this condition and they were absolutely right.Dr. Gupta was incredibly knowledgeable in explaining my diagnosis, thorough in explaining the results of the tests done, patient in answering my questions, and comforting in providing the recommended steps to move forward. When it was determined that I needed to undergo surgery, I was absolutely confident in his ability and expertise, which made the experience all the better. My surgery was very successful thanks to Dr. Gupta and I'm very grateful to have found him. He and his office are very diligent in checking in and providing the needed information before and after surgery - overall, a very professional, experienced, and caring team that will work with you to provide the best care possible. If you need to see a urologist or undergo robotic surgery, I highly recommend you see Dr. Gupta.

I very highly recommend Dr. Amit Gupta. He is without a doubt amongst the top two or three physicians, if not the best physician, I have consulted over the years. Dr. Gupta is deeply knowledgeable, experienced, respectful, empathetic and patient. And he is also exceptionally resourceful and skilled.Recently rather unexpectedly a malignant tumor was discovered in my abdomen. The characteristics were such that my consulting physician felt an urgent surgery was called for to remove the tumor. After researching options, I reached out to Dr. Gupta via email on a Sunday not really expecting a response for a day or two. Much to my surprise Dr. Gupta responded within a few hours requesting some specifics about me and my situation. He made time for me to meet with him the very next day. Impressively, he was also able to organize a MRI and CT scan for the next day. (I would like to note that his office staff, particularly Melanie Jimenez, is extremely efficient and courteous.) He had completely reviewed all relevant data about my situation by the time I met with him on Monday. Dr. Gupta carefully explained the nature of the problem to me and clearly articulated his surgical plan. He patiently answered all my questions. Dr. Gupta again impressed me with his resourcefulness by scheduling my surgery for Wednesday at Cedars Sinai, i.e. the second day after my first meeting with him! He set aside time on Tuesday evening to prepare me and to discuss any questions or concerns I may have. I went into surgery on Wednesday morning and was home Thursday night. Dr. Gupta's follow up after surgery was also exceptional. He responded to any emailed questions within a day if not a few hours. Now, a little over two weeks out I am well on my way to a full recovery from my surgery. Dr. Gupta has now referred me to a medical oncologist to discuss chemotherapy options. Given what I have experienced thus far, I feel completely confident with his guidance.Dr. Gupta is a truly exceptional physician. His genuine concern and caring for my well being was very evident from my first contact with him. His  demeanor, knowledge, and ability to move quickly genuinely impressed me. I very highly recommend him.

Dr. Gupta is an excellent communicator, a true leader in robotic bladder surgery, and in my case, with cancer of the bladder, through a logical step-by-step approach, he has removed a diverticulum on the bladder where the cancer was found and left me a cancer free bladder, of which I am extremely grateful!

Dr. Gupta is the best, I would highly recommend him and couldn't be more happy that he is my doctor.

Dr. Gupta is skilled and compassionate. He evaluated and obtained appropriate testing, assisted in developing a plan, and explained what and how to monitor changes and progress.

I was referred to Dr Gupta after being  diagnosed with a renal mass. Dr Gupta was able to help me through the process, from the initial clinic visit, to surgery with him, and finally to the post op visit. Dr Gupta managed to make the process so smooth, simple and straightforward. He is always available for questions along the way, which helped a lot to calm my nerves. It was very reassuring to know that my doctor/surgeon was always there to answer my questions.I had a very easy recovery from surgery too. I could not ask for a better surgeon.
