Dr. Sami is an incredible neurosurgeon with excellent bedside manor. He really takes the time to get to know you, your story, your pain, and your life. It is abundantly evident that he is passionate about helping people return to living a pain free life, even based on his empathy alone. I had been dealing with horrible sciatica for almost 5 years. I went to see Dr. Sami and he was careful to let me know that surgery is never his first option. In my case however, it was the only option left due to the degeneration of my L5-S1 disc. The very next week Dr. Sami, along with his excellent staff, performed a microdiscectomy on me. Upon waking up and pushing my consciousness through the residual anesthetic effects, I was in awe that I could stand up straight as long as I wanted with no pain. He did a fantastic job and my post-op pain in the actual surgical site dissipated in a matter of days. 12 days post op, I am walking over a mile each day and enjoying every second of it. I would recommend Dr. Sami to anyone checking out Polaris. I would choose him again and again.
