This is the third steroid injection in lower back due to arthritic pain. This time I am experiencing pain afterwards. The first 2 injections eliminated the pain and last 3 months. Hoping that it again removes the pain.

Had 2 previous visits with Dr Wertz. Both went well. Got a 2nd opinion from another doctor on continued pain. He was sent MRI and X rays. Dr Werts called report "goble de gook. Asked how another doctor could examine my MRI and X rays without seeing me. The 2nd opinion doctor asked me the same questions that both previous in office visits with Dr Wertz asked. Dr Wertz has never physically examined me. When I told him of continued pain symptoms ( foot numbness, and back pain that feels like there is a golf ball on my spine, ) he said, "I don't know what that means". I had even taken a marker to mark the most painfull spot on my back so he could see it. He had no interest. When he first came into the room he asked how you doing. I said "no good". and he said "What does that mean?" He was obviously not in a good mood and I expressed my frustration on only being perscribed pills in the hope that my pain would go away . He was asking me on how I would like to proceed? I replied, you are the doctor... The last time I saw him he recommended shots to relieve pain and finally agreed to do them....but not today. The 2nd opinion doctor had a much better bed side manner and was concerned for pain people are in. This appointment did not go well at all.

I have been seeing Dr.Wertz for nearly 8 years. He is an excellent pain management physician. He has been areal blessing in my life. I am so happy my rheumatologist recommended that I see him. I will always recommend that my friends go to him for help.
