List of Union General Health System's Reviews
We were in from out of town and our son got very sick. We used the walk in services and saw Doctor Dallas. She was awesome. Everyone at the facility was awesome. Having access to such a great urgent care is an awesome benefit to Blairsville. Thank you to everyone there that waited on my family.
Be prepared to wait like you've never waited before. Super fun with sick child.
Everyone we encountered was extremely courteous and professional. They were very knowledgeable and made me feel good about taking my husband there. I will recommend others and we will return when necessary.
Doctor was great, but the nurse at the beginning was nothing more than RUDE! Would not give you time to answer her questions, and if you took a second to think about it she would flop her pen down and huff or in a smart Alectone “just guess”
Thus has been a very friendly and thoughtful visit. Everyone was very helpful and well knowledgeable. Thanks all of you. Renee
Dr Collins has been wonderful for my husband and I both. We don't dread going to see the dr now. She takes time to listen and understand our needs and concerns. She is straight forward and lets us know anything we need to know and keeps us informed. We have always been met with friendliness from the staff up front and helped us with appointments as needed. Very thankful for this office and Dr Collins!
I love these people. Dr.. Blocker is great and caring; her staff is kind and caring. If I have a question, or concern, I contact Dr. Blocker through the portal and I get a response very quickly. Melissa goes out of her way to be helpful. I would recommend Union General Family Medicine.
I experienced dishonest and unfair billing practices and they were unwilling to correct the billing error. I paid in full by card at my appointment because I do not have insurance. I then received a separate bill in the mail a week later.I was told by their billing representative that the total cost I paid for the appointment before was "only an estimate" and now I owe them more after I was told upfront a different total that I paid already. I have had many bad experiences at this office, ranging from rude medical assistants to waiting over an hour for "immediate care" but this crosses the line. The billing department would not budge and told me I was already getting a "50 percent discount" on a $200 checkup appointment that I was told at most would cost $82.50 or a minimum of $48.50. I was charged less because they go by the amount of time spent with the physician. I paid upfront for my appointment only to be told by billing today that what I paid was an "estimate" when the receptionist told me the total and I already paid it that day in full. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. You don't tell someone the total cost upfront and then send them an additional bill for more money saying it was "only an estimate" of the total. The new system here runs only for profit, designed to make money and get people in and out ASAP with no integrity and absolutely no regard for the community or their patients in their business practices. You will also notice there are only a few bad reviews now and they have had several reviews deleted from others who had unpleasant experiences. If they left them all up they would probably be down to 2 stars so I would imagine that is why. Delete all the reviews you want. I will inform everyone I know about my experiences here with rude staff and now fraud both on social media and in person.
Never returns phone calls I’ve called 5 days and left messages and no one will call me back. I got sent to the hospital for more tests and I kept having to postpone them cause of issues with my insurance come to find out the doctor didn’t tell them why I needed tests ran and my insurance company called and mailed them a letter to explain but since they never did I got denied and I had to pay for the tests out of pocket thanks to them. Got X-rays done at hospital and the doctor has to read and it’s been 3 days so far and still nothing guess they really don’t care if you live or die.
Our insurance directed us to Union General Family Medicine for urgent care after my husband had an injury. While no one answered the phone when we called, we were greeted and treated with enthusiasm and kindness when we went to the office. I was allowed to be with my husband during the visit. Everyone we spoke with was very helpful, informative, and kind. We've visited twice for treatment and would wholeheartedly recommend this office for urgent care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
