There is no better surgeon I would travel out of state for his services. I trust him
Dr. Moody is a wonderful doctor. He listen to my issues and acted very quickly to set up surgery as needed. He’s very kind. His staff is supportive and cheerful. The surgical experience was great.
Dr. Moody is a very caring compassionate surgeon who has performed multiple procedures on myself and family members. He is my preferred surgeon and we trust him completely.
Moody flat out refused to treat me on Medicaid referral. I am fully legally disabled from this condition. I was referred to Moody for a rare disease causing tumors known as Dercum’s. NORD ranks it among top 10 most painful rare diseases. I have had 31 previous multipoint surgeries for removal of tumors at a MD FACEP over the last several years. My primary care physician claimed Moody is the only surgeon they refer to.Not only was Moody largely unfamiliar with the Dercum disease particulars he made several glaring mistakes demonstrating he knew very little of the condition during our appointment conversation. His skill in manual manipulation of the tissues to physically feel the masses was very sub par. Other surgeons ER NP’s and doctors have had zero problem yet Moody seemed to not try not care or be simply too dead handed to feel them beyond the most egregious or painful. That alone should raise alarms for a surgeon. When diagnostic imaging was suggested he asserted it wouldn’t work because the tissues are the same density. Again Dr Moody FACS is ignorant of the facts of Dercum’s. As such I deeply question his competency and ethics. He also pushes a heavy christian climate which is uncomfortable for those who believe otherwise. Also if you dig into Moody’s patients the vast majority are 75+ or close to it making him more of a gerontology surgeon.I would NOT feel comfortable sending my family or friends or even neighbor’s pets to Dr. Willis Moody MD FACS. His behavior observed leaves me with zero confidence in him as a medical professional.
Dr Moody was prompt responsive very professional and informative. He performed a colonoscopy and endoscopy on me with literally no discomfort or pain. I felt confident of his performance and professionalism. I highly recommend him for these services
Dr Moody saved my life in March of 2019. I had a very complicated appendix surgery. If I would need surgery again Dr Moody and Dr Efird is where I would go. My wife and I have been treated by both of these fine surgeons. The care in their office from Dawn who answers the phone to RN Sarah is 10 stars. They are both praying Godly men.... kind caring and highly skilled. It sure makes a difference when youre in a medical crisis.
He is a wonderful doctor. He listens and very knowledgeable. He actually care for is patients. Highly recommend Dr. Moody.
an arm is paralyzed the venous pump is lost dramatically increasing the risk of vein thrombosis. ... Because the unaffected arm is still active it will have veins available for venipuncture but they may not be easy to see. I was very disappointed he didnt have the knowledge of this saying he had never heard of this and I had to inform him you cant take blood on paralyzed side of body bc of blood clots. So glad I have done my studies to protect my son who is a stroke victim. I hope it googled it like I asked him too this is very important to patients who have paralysis. I lost all confidence in him at this point. Especially when he said pik line could be removed to right side where paralysis is. Just my experience and my opinion of this visit.
I unfortunately had to have a few surgeries in the last few months however Dr Moody was an absolute professional in every way. He explains everything fully and he projects confidence. His skill knowledge and communications are superior. I would not hesitate to see him again if needed and would recommend him highly to anyone.
If l ever need to have surgery again hes my man nuf said

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
