List of John Chung's Reviews
Dr. Chung performed an incision on my forearm which has healed nicely. Dr. Chung made me feel completely at ease and well cared for. He and his staff are professional and competent.
He is the MOHS specialist but he never did the procedure. Instead he had his nurse do the entire procedure. This ended up being a major surgery in my forehead and it left huge scars.
I am under the care of two wound care specialist. I am on my 30th Hyperbaric treatment. I have suffered immense pain. Dr Chungs office has ruined my life.
I have been with Dr Chung since early 2000. He's always did a great job for me. I trust him abilities completely.
I did not have a good experience with him regarding my skin cancer surgery. He is the plastic surgeon and he gave someone else instructions on how to close up my incision. He didn't do the stitching himself. I had a small spot on my forehead, they put 8 stitches in to keep it from "puckering", probably only needed two. Spot opened back up as soon as I got the stitches out and then I just had an open wound which looked the same as if they hadnt put stitches in at all. You would think if you get charged for a plastic surgeon, he would be the one who actually closes your incision.
I would give a minus 1 if I could. I was a regular patient until he gave me a shot without using aseptic technique meaning no alcohol wipe prior to the shot because he was in a hurry. I ended up with an infection around the injection site. I will never return. My advice is to go elsewhere.
Went to see Dr. Chung for MOHS procedure on my face. He was to be the surgeon but the nurse did the entire surgery and the reconstruction went very wrong. All Dr. Chung did was look at his iPad and draw on my face. Further, unsanitary surgery practices caused bacterial infection. It’s been 8 weeks and I’m still not healed and will need corrective surgery. I was so afraid for my safety that I could ...

All Dr. Chung did was look at his iPad and draw on my face. Further, unsanitary surgery practices caused bacterial infection. It’s been 8 weeks and I’m still not healed and will need corrective surgery. I was so afraid for my safety that I could not go back and went to another Doctor who actually handles patient care himself. Having a nurse perform surgery instead of the surgeon is highly unethical.
Went there because of Dr. Chung’s experience as a MOHS surgeon. My appointment was with him to do the surgery but his NP did the whole thing and it was very extensive. Furthermore surgery practices were unsanitary which caused huge infection in surgery site. Awful experience.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
