Excellent doctor!

I am a new patient and I only had one visit with Dr. Shorter. She is a sweet, caring doctor but some of her staff are another story. I received a physical with bloodwork done in July 2020. I called numerous times for 7 months. Today February 3, 2021, I called again in an attempt to receive my results only to be told there's no record of my labs being done. So my blood was taken and never submitted to Quest to review. On one of my many calls for a callback from a nurse or Dr. Shorter, I was told by the receptionist, " Well we can't physically make the nurses or doctor call you back." That is the most rudest response to give a patient concerned about her health that I have ever received. It should not have taken 7 months to be told there are no labs on record for me. That's totally unacceptable and for that reason, I am looking for another physician.

Great Doctor

This has to be the WORST doctor’s office in middle Georgia. I came to be seen about chest congestion. Ended up having 5 visits totaling to $250 and still to this day they can’t tell me what’s wrong. They started posting your records in the Healow app, when I received the email I logged in and saw some test results that were never giving to me saying I had brain damage, which I figured was from a bad car accident I had as a child, when I called to ask about the results the actual doctor told me I was making things up even after I read the results to her. I asked to speak with Dr. Palmer in regards to it he still gave me NOOOO answers. I came to the office in 2018 in regards to my thyroids they said I had hyperactive enlarged thyroids and referred me to a specialist. Well thanks to their unprofessional staff members the referring doctor never received my contact information INSTEAD they gave them my GRANDFATHER’s cell number (mind you I was 24 at the time my grandparents should have never been called) and this office told me I would have to come in and pay them for them to send another referral with the correct info, I had no money at the time, here I am two years later finally have money to go to back for another referral and it’s important because I am now pregnant they do the test again and send another referral I MADE SURE TO MAKE SURE THEY HAD MY CONTACT INFO AND MY CONTACT INFO ONLY to give to the referring doctor and guess what they did....THEY GAVE THEM MY GRANDFATHER’s number then the new lady doctor called me with an attitude saying I wasn’t answering my phone and I needed to call the referring doctor back mind you I NEVER GOT A CALL FROM THEM I had to beg her for their number to call them back she was EXTREMELY RUDE....now they have sent me to a specialist that is refusing to treat me so I called and asked for another referral Dr.Palmer was supposed to call me back 5 weeks ago and guess what....IM STILL WAITING. DO NOT take yourself ORRRRR a loved one to this office I’ve been a patient here since I was 3 literally and in the past two years their business and customer service has gone completely down hill they are rude, disrespectful, and have no regards for your health they only want your money, once they have that they could care less about you!!!!

Dr. Shorter has been very good at treating me for over 10yrs. She listens to what you are actually telling her then she will either explain or help you find the cause.

Dr. Shorter is very patient and she takes time to really talk with you about your medical history and issues. She is very thorough!

Dr. Shorter is an EXCELLENT general practice/family doctor and a consummate professional. She is very thorough, listens to your concerns, and is never condescending or dismissive. If you become sick, the office always finds a way to get you seen by a doctor that day. The office is busy but I've never had to wait too long. Very pleased!

I have been seeing Dr. Shorter for a few years now, and she is by far the best doctor in Middle Georgia. She actually takes the time to listen to your concerns, and when it comes to prescribing medications, I love how she explains the pros and cons of each one, and she gives you options. Love, love, love her!

Dr Shorter is such personable doctor. She is genuine and so easy to communicate with, she stops and take time to listen to my concerns and immediately offer directives. She has taught me how to read my lab reports and what I can do in my life style to make good choices whether it be my eating, exercising, or taking my medication. I highly recommend Dr Shorter to anyone looking for a superb doctor.

$300 for ultrasound testing, lupus screen and two office visits and it wasn't until I saw a specialist that I got a diagnosis she should have easily diagnosed in the first visit. Will be finding another doctor.
