THE BEST TOP-RATED OB/GYN Dr.Jeffrey Ward is absolutely the most amazing Obstetrician-gynecologist ( OB/GYN)! He is extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, highly skilled, compassionate, empathetic and most of all, a great listener! He will address any and all concerns you have and lay them to rest while providing reassurance. From my first appointment in early 2018 to having surgery on February 14th, 2023, Dr. Ward and his team have been superior. I can not express the amount of gratitude I have after the most amazing experience of having him perform surgery. The hardest part of my surgery was for me to show up at the scheduled time. They made it that easy!!!

Had I only known better. I had my daughter with Dr. Ward as my ob. I was warned secretly by several nurses not to let him force me into a cesarean section. I was induced overnight with pitocin and no pain meds. I was already pushing against my back-to-back contractions when he came in to "check" me. He sat on the end of my bed and began roughly jabbing his hands against my swollen cervix. Next thing I know he has a white stick to pop my water bag with. Without warning, permission, or even a countdown, he began stabbing it all over the place, my cervix felt damaged. The pain was unreal. I couldn't cry out because my contractions were so painful already, so I just cried. I was young, it was my first child, and after being subjected to that pain I gave in. For years I've regretted that decision. Being bullied at the bedside is an awful feeling. I've had to have all csections following the first birth. I was robbed of that natural birth I wanted to attempt. Sadly, I never will. Like that nurse told me", if you want a vaginal birth you HAVE to stand your ground. Whatever happens you insist on it." I had to share this. It's haunted me for years.

Dr. Ward’s nurses and staff are extremely kind, as is Dr. Ward. Unfortunately, he is not very understanding as far as pain goes. I have been to the ER three times in the past three months for ovarian pain, and each time I’m sent home and told to follow up with Dr. Ward. The most recent visit was a few days ago and I was told to see Dr. Ward as soon as possible. Today I was told by the office that seeing me will not help with anything, and as far as the pain I am having to just go to the emergency room every time it becomes unbearable. Unfortunately, this is not financially possible nor is it appropriate considering how slammed the hospitals are right now with COVID. I understand that some things require some investigation and maybe even a referral, but Dr. Ward said there was no one to refer me to. I’m very disappointed with the way I have been treated by the doctor, but I want to reiterate how kind his staff and nurses are. Maybe try a different doctor if you deal with pain.

Dr. Ward is very knowledgeable but he does not listen to your concerns. You know your body best, would recommend seeing a different doctor if you have any health concerns.

Dr. Ward is so kind. I had a procedure with him yesterday and felt nervous, but he really talked me through it and helped me feel comfortable. As an anxious person I really appreciate his bedside manner. Northeast Georgia is a wonderful place to receive care. Thank you!

Terrible physician, does not care for the safety of his patients. He disregarded my family's high risk pregnancy concerns. If you are remotely a high risk pregnancy- do not go to this physician. He will not take your concerns seriously, regardless of how you feel. You know your body best and you know when there's something wrong- and if your physician refuses to take that seriously- I suggest you go elsewhere because this is a not a physician who will care for your or your baby.
