List of Northeast Georgia Health System's Reviews
I was in the ER with a kidney stone. I got into a room quickly and the doctor and nurse were amazing and they took fantastic care of me while I was in pain.
I was taken to the ER after falling and hitting my head. The treatment I received was great. The Doctor was very soft spoken and explained everything to me in detail. I felt everyone was very professional there. I will certainly use this ER and the hospital in the future.
HORRENDOUS ILLEGAL ACTIVITYMy husband and I paid our emergency room visit bill and almost a year later a new revised bill is issued to us for a remaining amount needed. The actual visit was horrendous as my husband had a black widow spider bite which we didnt know at the time and all they did was test for Covid. They misdiagnosed him and then almost a year later tell us we didnt pay them enough WHICH IS ILLEGAL AS THEY WERE PAID AFTER THE CLAIMS ADJUSTER VERIFIED THE BILL AMOUNT AND INSURANCE PAID. They billed us after being paid. We could pursue legal action based on this illegal billing activity. I will never go back to this facility if I can help it. NIGHTMARE
Pretty harsh reviews here for the hospital but I understand that this is a whole lot different than writing a review about a hamburger you ate at a restaurant or a pedicure you got at a nail salon...ER on a Friday night not as a chaotic as Id expected. Good efficient Covid guidelines in the entryway and everything I was told was clearly spelled out. Dr. Rogers and Tony in the ER along with all the other nurses were professional and kind. I was admitted and moved to a room within 3 hours after labs and chest xray.3 night stay biggest complaint was cleanliness. Im bald due to cancer and there was a long black hair in my bedsheets and then some questionable stains on the bathroom floor and wall as if a previous patient had trouble making it to the toilet. shudder. CT scan technurse the next morning not the kindest staff I encountered. Yes I spent many of these days sobbing but everytime I let loose some vulgar piratespeak it was ALWAYS directed at my situationhealthcondition and never ever at a person. Which I was told is really common as a nurse to be cussed out by patients. Why would anybody $ where they sleep? Theyre taking care of us folksBiggest shoutouts and I hope hope hope theyd see it because HOLY $ these were so amazingly kind and awesome nurses Loveline Allison Art Jennifer Janice Samantha Michelle. I wish I could remember the rest Food umm am I really saying this but the meals were delicious I was given ordering options which made it even more awesome Everything was delivered to my room promptly exactly what Id asked for and hot.So while I havent been dealt out the bills yet and had to deal with their billing department this hospital is WAY nicer than the one in Gainesville. Much easier to park and navigate. I believe their visitor rules returned to normal prepandemic a few days ago but during my stay they made a few small exceptions for me which I greatly appreciated. Hopefully my health continues to improve and may I never have to set foot into the ER here again. D
If I could give 0 stars I would. If youre sick... go somewhere else.Breakdown rated out of 5 Cleanliness 5 Also really lovely cleaning staff. So nice. E.R. Staff 5 Thanks Dr. Rogers and all the awesome staff BIG thanks to nurse Catherine I think I spelled that wrong but she fed me and was just such an amazing person. Nursespatient care techs respiratory therapistsXray tech 5 you know.... the ones who actually know wtf is going on and who actually take care of the patients while the drs just get the recognition Eliza Jill Kathleen Sasha Maggi Margarita and all the other amazing caretakers. Thank you for the care and comfort that you all provided me. I was scared and alone when I came in and you made me feel safe. Hospitalists 0 Id really go with a negative for them. Completely useless other than wasting your timemoney Shout out to Dr. Bell and Dr. Hatoum for the worst bedside manner and absolute aloofness. Its SO comforting to know people like you are in charge. Next time I want to be told Im in horrible shape but then gaslit and told Im just fine in a 2 day period Ill be sure to look for you both because you really offer the chaotic energy every sick person wants. Pulmonology team 2 didnt really find them helpful whatsoever Ill be doing a followup elsewhere thanks. Update tried to get an appt with them since they already know my case... didnt give me an appt until Dec 29. Hope my morning choking on mucous is cleared up by then. Yeesh. What a completely disheartening experience. I shouldve stayed home. Saved myself a few grand. Still sick so why does it matter.
I worked there for 10 years I know these people suck. I went to the emergency room one night and this hospital is IN network of my insurance. They processed my insurance and said Im good to go. They apparently switched doctors last minute without telling me and that doctor was not in networkie not covered by my insurance. The doctor that was the out of network doctor treated me for 5 minutes and left. Got discharged from hospital an hour later and the next week I got a bill for 5k. LOL we ran around for 10 months speaking to our Aetna insurance and the hospital. They ignored every call fax and email from my insurance company. Screw these people. Screw their bill. Do not get swindled into receiving care from this location or the Gainesville one. Youve been warned
Clean nice and close to my house
Healthlink lab is amazing 👏The nurse was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks
Im posting for mostly my experience in getting to this hospital and out during emergency situations and the ER specifically. My mother is in a high end assisted living $100k a year and when she falls ill or a stroke is feared etc Braselton is the closest and why I moved to Flowery Branch while she is in Dacula. I have had to use the ER now for me or my mother several times in the past 2 years and very unhappy with the ER. Not organized doctors have no bedside manner or common sense for that matter so will give examples. My mom was sent in for severe pain by ambulance to the ER. Shes 85 had brain surgery 5 strokes in the past 2 years so lets say not well. Her legs were so swollen we knew she had a DVT but feared it had moved so by the time my son was able to get to the hospital he was not allowed in the ER this time I understand the previous visits were prior to March 2020 but she was still just in a room freezing nobody really doing anything. It took over 9 hours to get a cat scan and Xray of her chest only to be told they dont see anything so they tell her that there is nothing they can do and to schedule an appt with a doctor at a later time. Really? So after a long painful day of stress for her she is put in the hall and told she can go. I was out of town so she called from her cell phone crying saying she wants to leave and the hospital policy and assisted living she is in doesnt do trips back to her home. So I get a call from ER not to tell me the condition of my mother but shes ready to go and they need me to pay $65 to transport her back to her assisted living 4 miles away. Knowing this would be another 8 hours my son went to get her and he literally asked where she was and the desk said through the double door room x.... and he found her sitting in a chair shivering and alone. No nurse around he asked if she could go and she said she had been there already for over an hour in the hallway as they needed the room for more serious patients. She had no papers againIll elaborate so he went and found a wheel chair got her in it nobody stopped him nobody helped him and he took her out the door and back to her home so she could get in bed and get warm. No discharge papers for the SECOND TIME in 8 months Unacceptable. I have a book to write on this but will stop. Once you get a room and nurses to take care of you they are great. But first floor ER lack of staff improper protocols wont admit you and tell you are released then just let you sit for 6 or more hours with no help sad. If you have a choice drive to Gainesville Or Lawrenceville. Seeing other reviews similar..... hope they catch on. I think they prioritize any covid 19 cause they get paid more or the staff is instructed to ensure they can label it covid 19 to get benefits. But nothing to help the patients. Furious
I am not a complainer and I would say that I am a very compliment and easy going patient. From the beginning the front desk staff was rude and confusing every call I received was rushed and that was the only source of info about my surgery because of covid shorter in person appointments. The nurses were also extremely rude. This was my first surgery I am 18 years old and I was alone the entire time. I also was not given any pain medicine anxiety medicine or nausea meds before my surgery simply because the nurse had forgotten for a hour while I was in my preop room waiting alone. The anxiety meds wouldve been nice considering I was already stressed and asked for them before she left my room. I was told that I would push their whole day behind if I had chose to wait on the medicine I was supposed to receive before they came and got me for surgery. So I went on to surgery completely anxious and terrified with bright lights on me as I am moving tables and being strapped down. Im tough and I can be compliant when I need to but careless mistakes and rudeness should not be the treatment you receive at a hospital. There was a lot more that happened but this review would be 3 pages long. Although I will say that my surgeon was excellent and is the only one in the entire building that made me feel like I would be okay

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
