I was taken to the ER after falling and hitting my head.  The treatment I received was great.  The Doctor was very soft spoken and explained everything to me in detail.  I felt everyone was very professional there.  I will certainly use this ER and the hospital in the future.

***HORRENDOUS ILLEGAL ACTIVITY***My husband and I paid our emergency room visit bill, and almost a year later a new revised bill is issued to us for a remaining amount needed. The actual visit was horrendous as my husband had a black widow spider bite (which we didn't know at the time) and all they did was test for Covid. They misdiagnosed him and then almost a year later tell us we didn't pay them enough WHICH IS ILLEGAL AS THEY WERE PAID AFTER THE CLAIMS ADJUSTER VERIFIED THE BILL AMOUNT AND INSURANCE PAID. They billed us after being paid. We could pursue legal action based on this illegal billing activity. I will never go back to this facility if I can help it. NIGHTMARE!

A patient came in with dehydration and no sense of awareness or knowing of surroundings and possible signs of a STROKE and was discharged more dehydrated. In the discharge papers there was no diagnoses and every symptom was ruled "non-intractable or unspecified" can't believe these are the so called "doctors" we have saving people

My Wife went into Hospital Emergency room for Pain in arm in shoulder and numbness:a). They took Xrays even though we informed them that we had Xrays taken prior and showed nothing. They did not bother to take an MRI or call in a Neuro Surgeon or Orthopedic Specialistb). Told her she had Bursitis and Arthritis and referred her to an Orthopedic whom we went to see, took an MRI and waiting 2 weeks for appt and results. Orthopedic was worthless and sent my wife to a Vascular surgeon who laughed at us and asked why they referred us to him. He sent us to another orthopedic Specialist whom we had o wait another 2 weeks to see. He took additional MRI and referring us to go see a Neuro surgeon! After 1.5 months of going to the emergency room my wife's  condition has worsened because of their lack of urgency and not taking the proper tests to begin with. Don't waste your time going to this hospital unless you wish to be diagnosed incorrectly!Lina P.

Had an appointment for gastric emptying study.....arrived on time and was informed that they could not do the procedure because they said the equipment was down. Supposedly, someone tried to contact me but I received nothing from them. I wasted 4 hours of my personal paid time to deal with idiots.Never again dip shits....................

Two very bad experiences in a row.  Went a couple of weeks ago as I cut the end of my finger off (was hanging on with just a bit of skin.  Initially went to doc in a box but the Nurse Practitioner there wanted me to go to ER as the cuticle was cut through and they wanted an MD to look at it.  Went to ER, no doctor no xray, only another nurse practitioner who was obviously much more interested in everything else but me.  Put two steri strips on it, and sent me home.  They fell off within a hour, so my wife cleaned it and gingerly aligned my finger tip back with my finger and put some band aids on it (which held much better than the steri strips).  Got a bill for $600.00 for just the nurse practitioner, sort of insulting after what happen.  Yesterday we got rear ended so I took wife to ER as she has plates in her neck.  First I asked that she be evaluated by a doctor, due to her previous neck surgeries and my recent experience with the nurse practitioner.  They gave me a hard time but eventually did this after I told them I would leave if they didn't.  Secondly, I asked on my wife's behalf for a small prescription of pain medication.  She is constantly in pain and I knew the day after this accident would be very bad for her.  They refused.  She hasn't had a pain pill in 15 years and the one time she ask they make her feel like a druggie.  Oh and then just before we left a nurse comes in and says the doctor wanted me to mention that we saw a node on your lung, you may want to have that checked out.  I wish I had it on tape as it would be a perfect tape on how not to deliver this message.  Unless I am unconscious in the back of an ambulance, not going back.

My son was in the hospital NGMC Braselton back in August. He was there a few weeks. He was diagnosed with CHF and had several blood clots to hit his lungs. During his stay he almost died. He was overdosed on opiates. They had to give him Narcan to remove the meds. His body began to shut down. I ask that they not give him opiates due to a prior addiction. They took him off for one day and started him back the next night. I ask again that they take him off and they continued anyway. My son could have died and I felt as though they were at a loss in knowing how to care for him. Some of the staff were awesome. Some seemed to care less. They ended up drawing 2.5 liters of blood from his lungs. Shortly after they transferred him to NGMC Gainesville. Thank God because within 2 days he was a new person. As a mother it's very hard to watch your child fighting for their life. I walked out of the hospital to move my car at Braselton Campus one night and my son called the moment I jumped in my car crying and said "Momma I can't breath" they had already called respiratory to give him a treatment. They were slow getting there. It scared me so I parked and ran in the emergency room. I asked please call the nurse on his floor to go to his room, my son can't breath. They said we can't call up there. I said really? I was very very upset!! That told me they could care less about him. This hospital is not trained well and their attitudes are uncalled for. If you have a simple health issue they're good. If you have a heart issue don't go to Braselton. Go to Gainesville. I thank the staff that was kind to us. I'm just so thankful my son survived because I knew in my heart he wasn't receiving proper care. I told them I wanted him transferred to Emory. Never happened.

Had a horrible visit at this hospital. Went there with a spider bite on my hand. During my visit I was keep overnight. While I  was sleeping,  one of the physicians assistants came in and biopsied my hand with no numbing at all. Left me screaming in pain.Thought it could not get worse. It did. Early in the morning a doctor came in to see me. I told him of my experience with no numbing before the biopsy.  I told him several times he was not going to do this procedure without some pain numbing of some kind. He grabbed my hand and cut a deep cut all the way to my tendon with me screaming no. Never go to this place .Ever. I received a letter apologizing for no adequate pain relief.  My hand was awful.  And to make matters worse. They came in and said my insurance did cover there hospital.  So they sent me to GMC lawrenceville in a ambulance. Stayed there a week after being put to sleep to fix my hand. It will never be the same.  Stay away from Braselon hospital.

I went to the ER on a Saturday afternoon (27 July) with some abdomen pain - I am new to the area, but finding the hospital was painless, parking was plentiful and intake was fast, efficient and I did not even wait 3 minutes before taken back to be seen. Once I was back the nurse was attentive - listening and documenting my symptoms, he was caring and checked on me often while waiting for results. The atmosphere in the ER was calm, although it was alive with activity - arrivals, coming and goings. The staff were pleasant and attentive. After testing I ended up admitted to hospital. It was my first time staying in hospital as a patient. On the 3rd floor the rooms were large, clean and nicely set up...was worried for costs since felt almost like a private hospital :-). The staff were AMAZING! Checking in often - Pamela and Jamie were my main nurses and they were spectacular. They chatted with me, were popping in checking on me, and always nice, positive attitudes and happy to be working, checking on my pain levels, nausea, and anxiety. The tech's and everyone, including the lady who came to draw blood were really top notch. They clearly are passionate about their work and helping people. My surgeon, Dr Gill, is the most wonderful person - not only super bright (obviously right), but her bedside manner was fantastic. She spent time with me, answered ALL my questions and never seemed rushed to go .. although I know she was so busy. Surgery staff (incl. anesthesiologists) and facilities from what I recall were clean, sterile and everyone was nice and caring. I was explained everything in detail. I came around in a haze but again the entire staff were always checking on me, talking to me and just plain old hospitable in the hospital :-) I HIGHLY recommend NEGMC Braselton ER and hospital. THANK YOU ALL! I hope I never come back, but if I do I know I am in wonderful hands.

I visited my Mother in the ER last night.  My first impression is that they are very overwhelmed on busy nights.  All the rooms were occupied and people were laying in the hallways.  After she was admitted, I was told she would have to stay in the ER because all the regular rooms were full.  Worst of all, no one checks in on you.  I had to turn off the alarms going off when her blood pressure went over 160.  Then she rang for help for over an hour during the night and no one replied.  Please tell me that this is not a real NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL.  I'd be very disappointed they would let this lack of care be the norm at this hospital. The administration should be ashamed.
