List of Jax Spine & Pain Centers's Reviews
My foot doc referred me to this facility for treatment of RSD. Thus being Im in acute pain 247. I already have a stimulator installed so this procedure Ive attempted to get scheduled since mid June is to replace the battery but NOT a one single person at this facility has yet to return the 50 voice mail messages left to date. The service and patient care here is horrible and these people should be ashamed to call themselves doctors
I had an excellent experience with Dr. Justin Mann today. I have a terrible TMJ and it gives me a lot of discomfort and at times unbelievable pain. On top of having TMJ problems for more than 50 years and dealing with some things LIKE not chewing gum cracking ice to eat not opening my mouth to eat a stacked high sandwich or a burger. Knowing all these things to avoid I chose to bite or crunch down on a blow pop sucker out of the Halloween candy from my granddaughters stash from that night. My sin was biting down so hard to get to the gum I had immediate pain. One week later I saw a dentist 4 weeks later I had seen 3 dentist with no pain relief so at my next appointment I saw Dr. Manns PA and she got busy finding something to help for me 2 weeks later because of our wonderful right Insurance situations I got to see DR.JUSTIN MANN AND HIS WEALTH OF KNOWLEGE he gave me a painless injection in my TMJ joint . THIS is no LIE I felt immediate relief and I HAD THE BEST REST AND SLEEP LAST NIGHT in over 4 months. THANK YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH DRMANN.
The worst service Ive ever received in my life They Cancelled my appointment while I was at the office. Then they told me they rescheduled for the following month Well guess what they did not reschedule my appointment The staff is rude and just unprofessional
I have been a patient of Dr. Carey for many years now and believe I have a ton of experience as a patient. Dr. Carey is absolutely world class and you will always have a wonderful experience with him. He is friendly patient and explains everything well. When I am physically at the office for an appointment staff are also friendly and professional. Thats the good news. The truth is that beyond the first appointment you will only see your physician for procedures and must see a PA for everything else. I have had about a dozen different PAs during my time as a patient at this office so there is pretty much a revolving door which also means wildly inconsistent patient experience and care. What really is a big and completely consistent issue at least for the past decade is that after you leave the office its like winning a lottery to be able to call and get through to a person that can assist you. Ive had so many things fall through the cracks resulting in delayed care that Ive lost count. An example I am currently dealing with is simply rescheduling an appointment. This is from today. I need to reschedule an appointment for my mom since her MRI cannot be done prior to her already scheduled followup appointment for that purpose. Ive have called the office numerous times and followed the correct prompts to get through to patient scheduling and each time have been on hold for over a half hour with no luck getting through to a person. One time I called and spoke to the operator and she seemed completely disinterested that it appeared something was wrong with the scheduling line. So far today I have spent several hours trying to reschedule a simple appointment. They do have an option to leave your info for a call back but that has never worked for me or the return call comes days later. I truly wish they would be more aware of patient experiences when not physically present in the office. I remain quite disappointed with the dichotomy between world class and completely substandard experience at this single office. There have also been issues over the past year as it relates to the pandemic. The office is supposed to be following precautions but this seems entirely inconsistent. For example they have someone at the door taking temps but that person sometimes disappears and patients come and go without being screened. Another example is hand sanitizer which though present in the lobby is not available in any of the patient care rooms. These are only a couple examples of failed precautions at this practice. I appreciate that the office is busy and they must serve many patients but part of patient care happens when the patient is not present and they just cant seem to get it right.
All about money. I am a cancer patient whos had cancer multiple times. I had a 500$ balance after losing my job and insurance due to COVID. They would not schedule me without paying my balance. Fine. I offered to pay 275$ to make an appointment and pay another 100$ a week later when I came to the appointment and go on a payment plan after. They refused to see me. Knowing that I take pain meds for years of chemotherapy I asked if a nurse could call me to advise me on what to do if I went through withdrawals or if there were resources for anyone in my situation. They refused to have a nurse call me to tell me what to do. They kicked me while I was already down. Its all about the cash for these people just like it is for all places like this. They put money in front of lives. Keep in mind I have been a patient of theirs for YEARS I have taken their advice and before COVID I ALWAYS paid in FULL. I never had a balance before this. Its unconscionable. They would have had the whole balance if they gave me two weeks but instead decided to abandon me in this time of need.
As a patient I have had experiences with 4 providers at Jax Spine Pain. 1 Dr. Akbary My primary care doctor had referred me to see if I may benefit from injections. What is the first thing Akbary does? Tells me he will not prescribe my benzodiazepine which I have been taking for over 5 years. My body had a dependence Akbary threw me into horrible withdrawals without a care in the world. Took him months of my suffering to refer me to another doctor who knows how to deal with tapers this doctor stated you could have had a seizure. Not good.. 2 Renee Garrett PA Pretty much ignored everything I told her. Never got to know me after a year of seeing her. She would not take my history into consideration denied to my face that I was actually experiencing withdrawal symptoms. 3 Dr. Carey I went to him hoping to eventually find care solutions AND because the front desk person at Akbarys office recommended I go to the Gate Pkwy location since it was so much closer to my home. As soon as Carey walked into the exam room he stated Well to me it looks as though youre doctor shopping. I cant help you.. I calmly left the office however it triggered a massive anxiety attack. 4 Janell Miller PA I truly believe Ms. Miller cares for people. However you must be the type of person she believes is worthy of good treatment. I have only seen her a total of 4 times but at my last appointment she stated ...just because YOUR president says so... and ...YOU followers... for I had taken off my mask for the exam room part of the appt. because it was so uncomfortable hot. I HAVE NEVER EXPRESSED MY POLITICAL OPINION TO ANYONE AT JAX SPINE PAIN. Janell decided it was important to show me her bias towards President Trump during my appointment. She has also stated to me regarding opioid therapy many times that she MUST taper me because its the law when it is a FACT there is no such law regarding opioids chronic pain. The law in Florida applies to acute pain only and then it only states to write a script for no longer than 3 days and to check the PDMP. The Florida law has nothing to do with a pain management practice who treats our elderly disabled and our precious veterans who suffer from chronic pain nor how to prescribe their opioid therapy. It is utterly clear to me Jax Spine Pain doesnt know what they are doing. They are obviously not in the patient care business and they absolutely do not practice patientcentered care as their advertising states.I would also like to state that I understand the current opioid crisis environment I am constantly letting my providers know that I am on their side and understand writing certain prescriptions causes them some anxiety. But to state its the law when it is not is pure deception. As Americans with civil liberties and rights we all need to take a second look at those who constantly state ITS FOR YOUR SAFETY. There was another group of people in history who said the same thing over and over to another group of people they didnt like. Just before they were put onto trains and led to a camp. Something to think about
I still have a lot of pain even after the procedure. When I called them they said I should take ibuprofen. I was doing that before the procedure. So what does the dishwasher do
I cannot say enough good things about Dr Reddy Monica and the staff at the St Augustine office. I was extremely leery coming for my first appointment with intractable hipsciatic pain. I expected to have to defend my pain and endure all sorts of judgement about my need for better pain control. My fears were initially relieved when I was met by the two front desk staff. They were friendly professional and supportive. Monica escorted me to the exam room and asked the usual questions about my pain and history. She was knowledgeable and compassionate. Dr Reddy immediately put me at ease. I could tell he believed me and truly wanted to help me. He understood my issues and clearly wanted to help me. He carefully explained that I had piriformis syndrome and my options for treatment. We discussed medications and also the procedure he recommended. I never felt rushed or dismissed. Quite the opposite. I feel like Dr Reddy would have stayed with me as long as it took for me to fully understand my condition and his recommendations. But the best part was yet to come I started the medications he prescribed and scheduled an appointment for the injection in my hippiriformis muscle. I dont have to wait long for that appointment. After the injection my pain subsided within 45 days. At my follow up appointment they were very interested in making sure I had improved and made sure there wasnt anything else I needed at that time. I asked Dr Reddy if he would be interested in helping me with some chronic pain issues. He immediately agreed and vane ip with a plan. Within days that pain had improved and is mostly gone. My acute pain was resolved and I am successfully treating chronic everyday pain that I thought I would never be free of. When opioids became less available to chronic pain patients I felt like I was doomed to live with the pain for the rest of my life. Dr Reddy has treated me without narcotics. When I visit him for follow up he makes sure that I am okay and do not need any additional help. I feel confident if I ever did he would offer me the help I need in a competent respectful and caring manner. Monica and the staff in St Augustine answer questions and return calls in a very timely manner. Its rare that I find people this good that obviously know what they are doing and appear to enjoy it.
I was searching for the website of Jax Spine and Pain Clinic and stumbled across reviews written by patients of this clinic. My name is Curt Geisler and a patient of Dr. Claudio Vincenty. I am 67 years old and have been a patient at this clinic for almost 10 years. First I rate them for a 5 Star rating why because I have been a chronic pain patient for over 40 years. I have been injured resulting in the inability to walk and I have been to the most prestigious hospitals in the world. With 11 back operations 6 neck surgeries and a tremendous amount of nerve damage leaving me in pain 247. I have several Medtronic devices in me including a pain pump. I was provided Dr Vincentys information and because of that he saved my life. I promise anyone with pain stay the course with Jax Spine. I was so miss managed by another pain clinic and a butcher for a surgeon that when Dr. Vincenty walked into the exam room the first words beyond the hello was I was told by him that he felt my life was at risk for being over medicated and to stop immediately taking pain drugs. He is always there and his kindness and his compassion brought me to a place that my quality of life is sustainable. Their entire office PAs andeveryone have gone far beyond in their care. My injuries are complex and severe. No one has EVER provided me with more comprehensive care than Dr. Claudio Vincenty and his people.
I had a Radio Frequency procedure and after a few days my back did not feel any better. I called them and was told to take some Ibuprofen. Thats what I was taking before the procedure. Not very sympathetic.
