Dr is Widener is my favorite Doctor. He listens and has compassion for his patients. He replaced my knee 1 year ago and Im not in pain for first time in 3 years. I highly recommend him

Dr. Widener gives it to you straight and honestly. Hes helped me make the best of an aging body.

I was able to get in quicker than I thought with Dr. Douglas Widener. I got xrays and he was able to see that my knee was good and I had pulled my hamstring. Visiting Dr. Widener and all his staff was Awesome and a very pleasant experience Our neighbor had both knees replaced by him and was riding his bicycle in no time. So we drove to see him from Blue Ridge too We give Dr. Widener and his staff 10+

I cant thank Dr. Widener enough for seeing me for my first appointment Some offices have you see the PA first but I appreciated seeing a real orthopedist. Dr. Widener was very helpful knowledgeable and personable He emphathized with my pain being a former athlete himself He gave me the best treatment I needed for my knee pain and now I can do what I want to do at my age 67 yrs I heartily recommend him The office staff was also very helpful

This experience was way below average. I was in terrible pain wearing a hoodie since it was cold out. The office staff here is incompetent The lady at front desk took my temperature 3 times pointed a laser gun at my head. It’s well know those laser guns can read temperature anywhere on the body. She said it was a little high 99.4 so she had to keep retaking it. Yeah duh I had sprained my ankle the night before so my body temp is a bit elevated finally some girl in scrubs came took it... NORMAL temperature 😤🙄I chose to go here instead of an urgent care or ER... this doctor is not very informative... came into the room with this fake cheery smile complimented me on my GA Jacket. Then we did Xrays. I felt he should have shown me went over the images with me. Poor bedside manner I couldn’t move my foot so he said I had weak tendons that I’d likely need surgery. Ended up getting a second opinion that was not the case at all. I would not recommend this place or this dr. widener. Stay away from this office

I called concerned with my course of treatment at another facility. Pam convinced me to come in for a consult. I am so glad I did I avoided unnecessary joint replacement and had a scope instead from which I am recovering faster than imaginable. Dr. Widener understood my situation made me feel at ease and did great work on my schedule. I would highly recommend and already have him to those I care about most.

Dr. Widener is absolutely fantastic. He is very professional and caring. As a pianist I was anxious I would not be able to play the on the same level after breaking my wrist. He and his medical assistant Pam helped me feel comfortable that all would be well. I highly recommend Dr. Widener

In November 2019 I suffered a complete rupture of the quad tendon on my left leg. I went to see Dr Widener on a Tuesday and before I left the office my surgery was scheduled for the following Monday. The surgery and subsequent therapy went great I was back to my daily activities in no time and had virtually no complications. I cant say enough about not only Dr Widener but the Resurgens team as a whole...from the doctor to the office staff to the physical therapists Hopefully this will be the last time I will need an orthopedic doctor but if I ever do Dr Widener and the Resurgens team will always be my first choice Eric D

I have had knee replacement on both knees within the last six months. When I began researching orthopedist near me I found Dr. Widner with Resurgens Orthopedics. After reading his online bio as well as his patient reviews I made the decision to make an appointment and was able to get in within days. The entire staff was very personable and professional. Dr. Widener was very easy to talk to and thoroughly answered all my questions. He has a great bedside manner which isnt always the case with many physcians. After two successful surgeries I would highly recommend Dr. Widener and Resurgens for all your orthopedic needs.

Dr. Widener gave me my life back Faced with excruciating pain from loss of cartilage in my left knee at only 45 Dr. Widener performed HTO high tibial osteotomy on my leg and I couldnt be happier with the result Dr. Widener answered all of my questions and concerns and was extremely professional knowledgable kind and compassionate. I can now go about my day PAIN FREE and I cant wait to get back out on the tennis court
