Gi Specialists's Online Review Report Card

I am an RN on a med surg floor so I am familiar with a variety of doctors including GI. I ignored horrible pain I had for months ignorantly attributing it to stress. I finally came to see Dr. Gani he has a great reputation at the hospital I work for and he quickly identified my underlying chronic illness. He immediately started me on my treatment and has been very involved and supportive throughout the whole process. He listens to my concerns is very thorough has great compassion for his patients and works with me to best fit my needs. I am very fortunate to have him as my doctor. I went from barely being able to get out of bed to now feeling so much better. I highly recommend Dr. Gani and the practice.

Before my Consultation with Dr. Gani today I read the glowing reviews other patients had left.When I left my appointment I understood why he had such good reviews. He immediately made me feel at ease. He was kind attentive and very knowledgeable. I couldn’t have been more pleased with Dr. Gani.

My husband was given a referral for a routine colonoscopy from his primary care physician. We are new to the area and it was close by so it seemed fine. When he tried to make the appointment he was put on hold. He waited 40 minutes for someone to pick up. The woman then told him she had to transfer him to someone else. He waited at least another half an hour. This time a man answered and put him on hold again. Another half an hour went by and someone picked up the phone and then hung up without saying a word. He called back and left a voice mail with the scheduling supervisor. Its been two days and no one ever called him back. Luckily my husband was at his desk working the entire time. Is this the kind of place you want taking care of you? Needless to say he just made an appointment somewhere else. Absolutely shameful

He is by far the best doctor I have come across in a long while. He is kind and remembers everything you tell him from previous visit. He actively listens to you. Highly recommend

Dr. Gani has been my G.I. physician for ten years. He is extremely thorough and compassionate. Dr. Gani located my colon cancer which another G.I. physician missed. I highly recommend Dr. Gani.

Extremely unprofessional gave me the wrong location for our appointment as well as not telling me that the location they gave me directions to had no doctor in office that day. We were 15 minutes late as a result. Upon entering the office there was a patient at the window speaking to the Receptionist. The receptionist looked past the patient to ask us what the full name of the patient was which I do believe is against HIPPA policy since there were five other people in the waiting room. I explained how we got so lost and the patient at the window said she had the same problem finding the office. It was around 15 minutes later that another lady came out and said Dr. Levy could not see us as we were so late. I have worked in healthcare for many years and I would never have handled any of these situations as poorly as they did. I guess they have so many patients that its no big deal to lose a new patient. We waited over 2 weeks for this appointment. This is the first negative review I have ever left for a business. But because I was traveling with my elderly mother who uses a walker and was no small feat to get in and out of two offices in the short period of time that we took I felt like this was and appropriate reason to post.

Dr. Gani is very nice personally and professionally. His staff is wonderful. The office is very clean. They treated me with respect and cared about my health. Dr. Gani set up labs and tests to determine the cause of my health issues. I would recommend Dr. Gani

Please take this review seriously I dont want you to go through the same experience as I did. I saw Dr. Gani of GI Specialists mid Nov 2020. Based on my symptoms he recommended a colonoscopy. Its two months later now and Im still waiting for the colonoscopy to be scheduled. It is very difficult to get hold of the scheduler voicemails often dont get returned or only after several days. So instead of wasting your time I strongly recommend to look for another practice

Dr Gani is a very sweet man who makes an uncomfortable appointment a lot less scary. He was informative and comforting. His nurse was also compassionate and very sweet.

I would share my experience but I did not have one. I was stopped at the front desk and told I could not see the doctor. I have a history of GI distress but took a Covid test as per my employer no other Covid like symptoms denied service. They seemed more interested in not servicing me than to honor my appointment. The receptionist was very rude and no explanation was offered. They did not even attempt to reschedule not that I would have accepted any appointment with this clinic moving forward. The doctors may be great but service starts at reception.
