List of Laureate Medical Group's Reviews
I Went there for a new primary care physician and she immediately pressured me to go into their sleep medicine program without knowing much about me. It started out with expensive lab work meeting with one doctor who kept her distance then a sleep medicine doctor. It seems like a racket. in addition it is really difficult and time consuming to make appointments and get prescription refills. Worst doctor experience Ive ever had.
Read the reviews I wish I had. I had a perfectly awful experience with Dr. Kavita Patel. She was condescending insulting made me feel as though I was either a drug abuser or just too old to have minuscule amounts of certain medications refilled. At one point she insulted me by exclaimIng Youre 74 YEARS 0LD Her dismissal of me for being what she considered an advanced age made me feel she thought I was either senile or in terrible physical condition when I am decidedly not either one She wrote in my file that I had a history of falling which is not true was never stated by me. Not that I would ever return to LMG but you are not permitted to see another doctor in the same field when you blindly made a bad choice. I called left three messages for the Patient Advocate. She never called me. Spare yourself a really bad experience. Do not step foot in the door at LMG in Sandy Sorings.
Because I have had such negative experiences with two different doctors from this group one in rheumatoid and the other in primary care I thought Id look up other peoples reviews and sure enough ...Im not alone. Unnecessary tests being run defiant attitude arguing the point. This is the first time I have ever felt as if a doctor just wanted to make money and not really help. They run many tests and then expect you to make another appointment to come back to talk about them. Ive had outrageous test results come back on the portal and unless I look at it and can understand the medical jargon then nothing gets done. You have to be your own advocate wherever you go but in this case you will not only do that but be charged and inconvenienced to understand your own test results.
Ive been a patient for over 2 decades. Things started going downhill when they sold out to Northside. The practice is a total cluster fk now. Medical staff make frequent mistakes. Messages from doctors and nurses dont get returned for weeks. Good luck getting test results. Ive spoken to a handful of other long term patients with similar complaints. I can no longer trust Laureate with my medical care. Ive started looking for a new medical practice. Truly a shame but Laureate is a disaster in its current state.
I arrived for my appointment with Dr. Reddy on time. Due to Covid procedures I was told to wait to be called up. I texted that I arrived. Received a text if I had a temperature of 99.5 or greater. No response. A few minutes later I text asking if I should come up. A received a text AGAIN asking about my temp then respiratory symptoms and then told to come up.... to the 11th floor. They take my temp and WHILE COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION FORMS I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO RESCHEDULE BECAUSE I WAS PAST MY SCHEDULED TIME???? I WAS THERE IN THE OFFICE I HAVE A PARKING TICKET RECEIPT DOCUMENTING I WAS ON TIME. The front staff emailed back advising of such but Dr. Reddy refused to see me. How arrogant of her and disrespectful of my time. Why would I reschedule with someone like that? My time is valuable too and I will not be wasting it with her.
Im a longtime patient. They always provide really great care.
Buyer beware Everyone is very nice but I ended up being billed an excessive amount for a simple test because I handed my insurance card when I checked in instead of being self pay. I was told that it would only be $90 for borrowing the simple equipment but ended up being billed over $400 because it was sent to my insurance company. I had not reached my annual deductible yet and therefore was responsible for almost this full amount. I would never have agreed to the study because this specific medical equipment can be purchased for just over twice this amount and there are plenty of overthecounterconsumer products that only cost $20 which I actually purchased and used in tandem to compare and the results were the same. Of course the small print in the numerous pages you are required to sign or not get medical treatment states that you will pay whatever they decide to charge. I hope this helps someone else navigate through the details about self payinsurance coverage. Sadly I will err on the side of avoiding medical testing unless critical in the future.
Love Dr Brown. He is caring and knowledgeable
Extremely disappointed with this group. Recently tried to switch doctors within the group because I have had ongoing issues for the past 3 years that have not been addressed and cant get an appointment within a 6 month time frame. I was told that I cant switch doctors and when sharing my frustration with that was told I cant switch doctors just because I dont like mine For reference the reason I dont like my former doctor is because they never spent more than 5 minutes in the exam room listening to me and when one of my family members who had the same doctor was emitted to the hospital they showed no concern for the reason and never bothered to ask what had happened and how they are feeling since even when they had an in person appointment. I highly suggest going with another medical group because they do not care if you are comfortable with you doctor at all only out to make money off of you.
Horrible. Dont waste your time. You will be better off just going somewhere else. This place is so difficult to deal with. They are just too big to provide quality patient care. You are just a number to these people.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
