Great Doctors and Staff.
Dr Gena Volas-Redd is an amazing oncologist and person. She really cares about her patients and so does her entire staff. They are the best people at GCS.
I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Garrot and the entire team at Georgia Cancer Specialists. From the moment I was diagnosed in June 2024, they provided exceptional care, compassion, and expertise every step of the way. Dr. Garrot is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also takes the time to listen, explain, and reassure—something that makes a huge difference when facing a cancer diagnosis. And I’m happy to say I’m now in remission thanks to Almighty God!
Lack of communication with patient and family
Everyone is exceptionally attentive and kind. Today my mother was attended to by Krisha and Amanda. As a caretaker, I am always thankful for professionals who treat my mom like I believe they might treat their own mothers.
For those assisting a family member with appointments here be prepared to take a day off of work every single time. This office is ALWAYS running behind to the point it's ridiculous and frankly disrespectful to the patients. The front office told me that the doctors purposely double or triple book appointments. Absolutely ridiculous and feels like the doctors want that insurance money. We were assigned to Dr Gena Volas-Redd and it has not been a pleasant experience from the start. She openly mocked my mother's concerns to a nurse in the hallway on the first visit. She was so loud we could hear her through the closed door. So who knows who else heard her. Not a great start and doesn't build any confidence. Unfortunately, no one else in the practice deals with brain tumors. Hard to get questions answered as the doctor is rushing off to the next patient. To the point where she refuses to answer claiming she is behind, which the office's fault. We have to always make sure a family member attends the visit so we can get my mom's questions addressed. That's a day off from work someone has to take. After this last check in, its been over two weeks and can't get a response as to next steps for my mom. The office is unhelpful and unmotivated. This is cancer we're dealing with, not a cold. Overall has not been a pleasant or optimistic experience. I get it brain cancer is a death sentence, but a little bit of support and empathy would go a long way. Instead every visit feels like they are checking a box, billing insurance and waiting for my mom to die.
Dr Garrot has been lots of help during the last few years during my pregnancies and everyday life. I’m glad he was assigned to me when I got admitted for blood clots during one of my pregnancies. The office visits usually take forever but the staff is so nice and caring
Dr. Garrot has great patience and concern for his patients. I felt like he sincerely wanted to provide me the best medical information and options to treat me. Thank you for taking time to listen and really understanding my concerns.
They treat you like family, they care about you. If they can help you they will. They make you feel special. They treat you like a human being. LOVE these people the people that works in
My family and I are so very grateful for Dhillion. Gods grace and mercy along with her healing hands have helped turn my life around.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
