List of Tanner Health System's Reviews
Terrible staff rude disrespectful this place should be shut down and they try to send me to a mental hospital
Tanner is da bomb.com! All these negative reviews are from people who had a bad experience. If EVERYONE that visited Tanner left a review, I guarantee it would be 4 star or better. People with negative experiences are usually the only ones to write reviews on places. Every time I have to visit Tanner or a Tanner Dr.office it’s 5 star experience. Get with it people! If you are reading this and had a GOOD experience, help out Tanner and leave a good review!! Go Dawgs
When I entered the surgical entrance this morning after dropping my wife off and parking, the person working at the front desk started speaking to me in a loud voice to get my attention so they could take my temperature and make sure no other people were at the hospital for my wife (COVID QUOTAS). The issue I have is that the person’s attitude and tone of voice when she continued to speak to me. So, as any smart person does these days, I took out my cell phone and began recording them…. And what do you know, she did have manners! She was not happy, but manners nonetheless! WOW TANNER! Hire some people that will be happy to have a job and realize your business provides a service to PAYING CUSTOMERS!!! 😳
they dropped my credit score by 30 points without ever alerting me beforehand I owed them anything (only 80 dollars). I'm trying to pay them and they make it impossible because I have no clue when I even went there! this is ridiculous, never go here.
Got thrown a 4,500 bill months after surgery when i was told i was done paying. hospitals are not supposed to be businesses, this entire hospital network cares strictly about money and nothing else.
I came here at the beginning of April just for them to tell me my issues and send me home with the WRONG medication. I continued to take the medication they prescribed just to GET WORST. I ended up having to go to another Hospital who told me they prescribed me the wrong medication and if they knew of my condition why? Seems to me they rather send people home than actually help them. Now I might be worst off because I started here first. DO NOT GO HERE. I advise anywhere else if you would like to be taking care of and actually helped
They don't prioritize patients
My daughter was admitted to Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton approximately 3 days ago...hopefully going home today. She was was in the ER for a day and a half because there were no rooms available, which was totally fine and understandable with the hospital being unusually full. However, when she did finally get a room (259), it was dirty, hadn’t been cleaned and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in several days from the dirt, food and trash on the floor. The bathroom had not been cleaned, toilet and floor were disgusting. I had to have the nurse call to have it cleaned before my daughter could even use it and was told it was a frequent problem. Being in upper management in EVS for a hospital in Florida, I observed when housekeeping came to clean and quickly discovered the problem as I did going to and from the cafeteria. This problem was not confined to patient rooms. There is very obviously a lack of training if the housekeeper as well as oversight and follow up at the management level. I am completely appalled at the condition and cleanliness in this hospital to the point that I am concerned about patient safety especially in these times of COVID. Perception is everything! My daughter received top notch care but I will never bring her here again due to lack of cleanliness, disinfection procedures and the obvious utter lack of management simply walking/rounding their hospital. Very shocked and disappointed! It’s sad because the hospital is beautiful and from our experience the medical staff does their best and notably cares about their patient’s wellbeing. This is the reason for two stars instead of one. That should be the case in all departments of a hospital...
Had 3 procedures here & had the best care. All staff were helpful & friendly. Nursing staff were very professional.
Ive never had a terrible experience here until last night even though I’ve heard of many other horrible stories from friends. Last night we went to have my sons (he’s 3 years old) staples removed from his head. A doctor came in and looked at him then sent a nurse in there to take them out. My son was already pretty scared to have them removed so he called another nurse in to help him. Well the nurse either didn’t know how to work the tool 100% accurately or something because the staples did not cut in half like they were supposed to. They literally twisted and bent while in my sons head. Instead of stopping after the first one he tried all three of them, pulling and tugging while my son was screaming in pain and crying. He finally stopped and went to get a doctor. The doctor came in and looked at it and it had already opened back up and was bleeding bad again. They had to give my son a shot in the wound to numb it so the doctor could then go in with other tools and twist and pull the staples out. He then put a lot of glue on my sons head with hair all matted up and in it. They had no concern for his head and how it would feel with a massive glob of glue and matted hair sticking out. My son can’t even lay back on his back now because it hurts due to the glue not laying flat and having hair all on it. I feel like with it being a 3 year olds head no one should have touched my son unless they were 100% confidence taking the stitches out. He should have stopped after the first one and got the doctor. It was so traumatic for my son and I. Worst experience ever. Tanner in Carrollton is just not trained on how to work with children. They don’t know how to talk to them, how to be patient with them, how to treat them, how to deal with them in general. They need more training on tools they have to use such as how to properly remove staples.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
