List of Angus Phelts's Reviews
Dr. Phelps was very friendly and informative with a sense of humor that made my day. His staff was professional and nice.My visit was accomplished and completed all within an hour. I highly recommend him.
He was very rude and condescending. He walked in the room and immediately told me he couldn't do anything for me so why was I there. I told him that my PCP sent me and why. He said that didn't have nothing to do with him ???????. Then he insulted my PCP and the city where I live stating that those were my problems. He looked down my throat and said he didn't see anything wrong. I'll NOT be going back to see him. I hate my insurance paid for the visit. He was the absolute worst doctor...and I use that term lightly. His staff is very nice but I would never recommend him to my family or friends. I wouldn't recommend him to strangers!
I found Dr Phelts to be both pleasant and professional.
Dr Phelts is the rudest, most unhelpful doctor I have ever experienced. I saw him for hoarseness. After looking in my throat, he said "there's nothing there." He said the hoarseness may be from reflux, but he didn't recommend a GI doctor. He prescribed an antibiotic, even though he told me he didn't know what was causing my hoarseness. I have never had a doctor prescribe medicine when he had said he didn't know the cause of my problem. Then, he said don't take the antibiotic for a week (actually, he didn't "say" this- he screamed this at me. I have never had a doctor prescribe a drug, but tell me not to take it for a week. Finally, he said come back in two weeks if I had not gotten better. Never! Since he had already told me he didn't know what was causing my hoarseness, and he didn't offer a referral to a GI doctor, and he prescribed a drug not knowing what my diagnosis could be, I would never return to him. He admonished me for writing 3 days from the outset of my problem to come see him; I had been out of town the first two days I had the hoarseness. Overall, he was rude, uncaring about helping me to a diagnosis. When I asked him a question about what I should do, he screamed, "I told you your hoarseness isn't a sinus problem." Then, he walked out, saying....."and don't take the antibiotic for 6 days." I can't remember ever having a more unpleasant doctor's visit. I could not even give him one star in this rating.
A Real Jerk who doesn't know how to talk to people.
Dr. Phelts was friendly, personable and professional. He took time to listen to my health concerns. He seemed to show concern to me regarding my health. I would recommend him to friends and family.
He was not friendly at all. He has a rude way of talking to patients..He is not understanding of an individual with hearing loss. I left the office extremely up set. .
He is a rude person with no concept of customer care. My mother went to see him from a referral of her primary doctor. Dr. Phelts conversation was what's going on with you..my mother explained what was going on, he looked in her throat and told her there was nothing he could for her. she asked could he recommend someone and he told her to go back to Dr. Patel he is the one that sent you here and walked out. The person actually expects payment for that treatment. He is so UNFIT!!!!
Poor experience. unable to diagnosis my condition. I had to request that he get scan to try and find out why I was having symptoms. Became angry. Stated no one in his practice could help me with an attitude of anger. I've never been treated that way by a physician.
I would never take my son back to Dr. Phelts nor would I refer anyone to this office. He was rude, arrogant, argumentative, and very condescending. He asked what the problem was but would not allow myself not my son to tell him what this ongoing problem is but he was quick to provide a diagnosis. He was more interested in correcting which words we used to describe what was going on with my son instead of listening to the issues he is having. He seemed out of touch with the reality that when a patient calls to make an appointment because they are experiencing a problem they may not get an appointment for two or three weeks later. He seemed mad that we were there. This was a terrible experience; one that destroys all confidence in doctors.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
