He is an amazing physician! His bedside manner and knowledge are exactly what we need in a physician!
He was great and thoughtful. Great doctor
Dr. Popp is truly exceptional in every way. From the moment I stepped into their office, I was met with professionalism, warmth, and expertise that immediately put me at ease. Dr. Popp's vast knowledge and dedication to their field are evident in every interaction. Not only does Dr. Popp possess a deep understanding of medical science, but they also have a remarkable ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Their communication skills are second to none, ensuring that I felt fully informed and involved in my healthcare decisions. What truly sets Dr. Popp apart, however, is their unwavering commitment to patient care. They go above and beyond to provide personalized treatment plans, taking into account not just the physical aspects of health, but also the emotional and psychological well-being of their patients. This holistic approach to healthcare is truly commendable.I cannot express enough gratitude for the care I have received from Dr. Popp.
Dr. Popp is an A+ on any scale. After surgery to my olecranon fracture, you can not even tell the elbow had been broken on the x-rays. In addition, after several weeks the scar is barely visible. I actually needed little physical therapy and I am in my sixties. He is the best!
I had a great experience with my appointment with Dr. James E. Papp. He was very nice professional and was knowledgeable abou explaining my injury to my hand. He was awesome I give him a 10.
I feel so guilty that it has taken so long for me to leave a review for Dr. Popp and his staff. I can't say enough about how they perfectly handled my imperfect wrists. I had put off getting them checked for YEARS. Tolerating the numbness until the pain was too much and I gave in. Everything was smooth as silk from scheduling to surgery. The relief was immediate. Everyone was amazing and kind. And the surgery was so flawless that even my doctor nephew commented on how practically invisible my scars are. The one bit of advice I DIDN'T take from Dr. Popp was to do the carpal tunnel surgeries one at a time. He even asked me, "how did you convince me to do them both at once?" I replied, "I think I cried." LOL! Anyhow, it is NOT a time saver to do them together as you don't have a "good" hand to help out the healing hand. Pretty sure I could have gone back to work in less than a week if I had done them one at a time. Lesson: LISTEN TO DR. POPP.
From the moment I decided to make an appointment with Dr Popp everything went very smoothly. The staff was great at explaining everything and I got an appointment quickly. Preregistration went well, wait time once we got to the office was short. Dr Popp took his time and explained my hand problems thoroughly and offered solutions. I would highly recommend Dr Popp.
Dr. Pop’s staff cancelled my outpatient surgery the day before it was to occur and fired me from his practice because I could not come in the day before for a COVID-19 test. My surgery was to be non-sedated and involved removal of a 4mm nodule from the pad of my small finger. As a physician myself, this surgery required no greater COVID-19 risk than any other face to face encounter. The surgery in question was much less of a risk than a dentist experiences daily and with each patient. I was willing to get a COVID-19 test at my office or at another’s doctors office but Ortho-1 would not accept the test from an outside source which begs the questions as to whether they were doing it for monetary gain. I would have gladly done the test but it would have involved rescheduling 25 of my own patients on the day of their appointment. Dr. Poop refused to return my phone call and Meagan, a staff nurse, was outright hostile. The office was unreasonable, unprofessional and frankly didn’t care.
My surgery for a cyst on the tip of my small finger was cancelled the day before my surgery, because Dr. Popp's office staff demanded a COVID-19 test be done the day BEFORE the surgery. As a physician who also performs outpatient surgery, a COVID-19 test was not appropriate to the circumstances, ie it was an awake, non-sedated surgery. They refused to accept a test performed outside their office including a superior PCR test. Had they offered the test the day of surgery or accepted an outside test there would have been no problem. Meagan one of his office staff was inflexible, rigid and unsympathetic to the fact that i would have had to cancel 25 of my own patients to accommodate their demand for a test that wasn't medically necessary. Based on their testing logic, every patient visiting their dentist would require a COVID-19 test. The fact that the test had to be performed at their office smells of "monetary considerations"!
Dr. Popp's staff called 2 working days before my scheduled outpatient, non-sedated surgery telling me a COVID-19 test was necessary. As a physician who does 100% outpatient medicine including non-sedated surgeries, I can tell you this test is not medically necessary and would have required rescheduling 25 of my own patients. His staff were insensitive to the predicament and refused to accept a COVID test performed outside their office, nor did they offer doing the test the day of surgery. Dr. Popp only called me after the fact and after I had been dismissed from his practice for refusing to do a COVID-19 test the day before my appointment with all of 2 days notice. Dr. Popp was sympathetic but chose to support his staff without making any effort to diffuse the situation all revolving around a test that was not medically necessary.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
