The office staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, very compassionate, and versatile to fit your schedule. I was in the ER the night before my appointment, they asked why I came in because I needed to get rest. They weren't going to charge me a no show or late cancelations fee if I had not been able to make my appointment. The staff and Dr. Fortson were very helpful and compassionate to some life issues I had going on as well. I really, really recommend if anyone needs a knowledgeable Pulmonary Specialist, Dr. Fortson is your man. He doesn't push medication on you, doesn't just put you on medicine for a kickback from a pharmaceutical company either. He honestly cares about his patients and what's going on in their lives.

Poor customer service from their front desk receptionist. No phone etiquette at all. I have been trying to schedule an appointment for the past three weeks no return calls or nothing.

Hello, Please read my testimonyI have been fighting a sinus infection for 1 week. The antibiotics the first doctor prescribed me caused my chest to tighten. I noticed I was using my rescue inhaler more than I should. So I called the first doctor back told the office nurse what happen she said to finish taking the medicine. I said NO my husband thinks I am having a allergic reaction to it. Called them again first doctor no return call to this day. So I stepped out on faith and called my Pulmonology Doctor his name is Dr.Thomas Fortson, Piedmont Healthcare. The nurse Drea heard my cry called Dr.Fortson met me there this morning and took care of me. Come to find out my darling husband SGT Harry Hovey was right it was a reaction to the first set of antibiotics. Thank God for Dr. Thomas Fortson, Drea (nurse) and his staff. I recommend Dr.Thomas Fortson, Piedmont Physicians Pulmonology of Columbus,Ga. to the highest.
