My Visit She was very nice! She checked me very good and then she sat me down and explain everything to me and I feel very good let her perform my surgery. Very knowledgeable.
Excellent in communicating
Dr.Tenny and her staff are very friendly and spend ample of time with you to explain everything and discuss the options leisurely.
Dr. Tenney was very knowledgeable , compassionate. She knows what she is doing and she explained everything before my surgery. I highly recommend her . Great Doctor.
Dr Tenney is my Hero - She literally saved my life My Biopsies were coming back as inconclusive but Dr Tenney would not accept that as an answer. Through her tenacity she was able to get my hysterectomy scheduled after which I was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of cancer that had spread to my lymph nodes. Luckily because of her we were able to catch it in time! She is extremely knowledgeable about my condition and explained everything very well. Throughout chemo and radiation they were supportive, always there for any question or concern. I continue to see her for monitoring every 3 months and will for several years to come. The staff members are always friendly and a special shoutout to Lindsey who always makes me laugh! I would highly recommend Dr Tenney and her crew to anyone facing the challenges of cancer.
People should know that anyone who needs to see Dr. Tenney and got referred by their gyno, DR TENNEY REFUSES to see anyone who does not have a cancer diagnosis already. When I have severe anxiety and all signs of my symptoms point to cancer, she can't be bothered and dismissed me. If you are pre-cancer, RUN. Find another provider. Don't waste your time being lied to by the staff and the nurses.
This review is more for Dr. Tenney's office and staff, but also her. Unless you have a confirmed cancer diagnosis, don't waste your time going to Dr. Tenney. She REFUSES to see anyone without confirmed cancer, no matter the referral and the urgent symptoms that people may have indicating cancer. And the staff will lie on the phone and tell you FOR WEEKS that they will call back soon to schedule a consult, but they LIE. Don't even waste your time because Dr. Tenney doesn't care if I may have cancer. She only wants confirmed cases, and she's the ONLY provider in a big city area that has this stipulation. So if you have cancer, you are in luck. She'll see you. Without it, panicking about cancer symptoms and referred by 2 doctors to DR. Tenney? She won't care. Shame on you, Dr. Tenney. You took an oath to help people.
Without cancer, DON"T WASTE YOUR TIME Dr. Tenney refuses to see anyone, even with referrals and problematic symptoms that ALL point to cancer, without an official cancer diagnosis. Her office staff will LIE TO YOU and tell you they are looking into it, they are reviewing your files, blah blah blah. They should have a screening recording on their office phone: Thank you for calling. If you have cancer, press 1, we care about you. If you don't have cancer, we could care less and we refuse to see you, press 2. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!! I have anxiety, and I've spent 3 weeks trying to schedule a consult and she refuses to see ANYONE unless they're already dying from cancer. She is the only doctor in a huge metro area that does this. Apparently she feels she is above helping the rest of us. YOUR OFFICE STAFF LIE. YOUR NURSES LIE. THEY REFLECT ON YOU. Tell them to stop wasting potential patient's time, not to mention worry and stress when terrible symptoms happen that all point to cancer! If I could give ZERO stars, I would.
I was recommended to Dr. Tenney by my best friend's gynecologist after being diagnosed with a potential malignant cyst on my ovary. I don't care how slight the risk is, it is terrifying to think you might have cancer. Her office staff is very dismissive, I came in for my consult after driving 45 minutes and they informed me that my referral had not been completed. I asked why they hadn't called me the day before? Not our problem. Still waiting on a refund a 1 1/2 months later. Surgery was 1 1/2 hrs late but post op they rushed me out in less than an hour. I called that night about bleeding, and they never checked on me the next day? Follow up was done by the PA and she basically told me to address any other concerns with my gynecologist. I do think Dr. Tenney is a great doctor, I just felt like since in my case, since it wasn't malignant, that I was brushed aside.
Dr. Tenney is a superb in every sense of the word. I felt 100% confident going into my surgery and everything, including recovery, went even more smoothly that I’d hoped. The big problem is her office staff, both administrative and clinical. They were dismissive, didn’t listen and were rude. No-one seemed to be able to think “upstream” or answer more than a very basic question.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
