Niraj Desai's Online Review Report Card

I recently had cataract surgery at Milan Eye Care performed by Dr. Niraj Desai . He performed a miracle in my opinion, i had worn really thick glasses since the age of 6 and now I can see clearer and better than I ever have. He made me feel comfortable and took the time to answer all my questions. The team that worked with him were just as caring and friendly. I highly recommend him if you are considering any eye procedure.

Dr. Desai was kind during my consultation but I don’t feel the procedure and potential risks/discomforts were fully explained to me before deciding on this elective procedure. I had cornea chelation done and was told it wasn’t very painful. The surgery itself is not painful because I was numbed but the recovery is the most painful I’ve ever experienced in my life and took well over 2 weeks for my eye to start feeling normal again. In addition, there is a risk of pain resulting from your eye drying out post-healing and this was also not something I was cautioned of or prepared for. There are ways to have avoided that pain had I known the potential ahead of time. If I had known everything involved in this, I never would have chosen to go ahead with the surgery. I believe Dr Desai is a good surgeon. Just not a great communicator and that is also important.

Dr. Desai did my LASIK eye surgery and everything went perfectly! I was very excited but also very nervous. Right before I went in the operating room, he personally came and spoke with me. He told me he will go over every step, and he did just that. After that, I felt a big weight lifted off my shoulders. He made me feel so comfortable! During the surgery, he and the techs that were helping, spoke with me throughout the procedure and made me feel at ease. The surgery went by so fast and I didn’t feel a thing! Everyone and everything was perfect! My vision is amazing! THANK YOU SO MUCH DR. DESAI FOR CHANGING MY LIFE! Y’all are awesome!

I have had two surgeries with Dr. Desai and will be having another this week. The first was for narrow angle glaucoma, and the other two have been for cataract removal lens replacement. I am a nurse and very interested in quality of care and positive outcomes of care. Dr. Desai has met and exceeded those expectations without question. He is very caring and has a good sense of humor! He answered all of my many questions, and the Milan Eye Center practice of office staff, pre-surgical staff, operation room staff, technicians, etc. have all been outstanding in showing concern with a patient-focused practice, not just another number in the crowd. I would highly recommend this practice for meeting you eye needs. Thank you for my care!

I got surgery with the doctor Niraj Desai, and the first surgery for the first eyes was good, but the second surgery was bad .The doctor don't pay attention.

Dr. Desai is an excellent doctor who is patient, kind, and caring with his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing eye care.
